Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks gets called for obstruction of a runner that eventually cost the Boston a World Series game.

Lets first review the body parts that were involved in this historic play.

Hands.
Arms
Shoulders.
Chest.
Thigh.
Knee
Calf.
Foot.

Now that we got that all squared away I want you do me a favor, please try this and you will understand what I'm talking about.

1) Lay down flat on your belly.

2) Make sure all your body parts including legs are horizontal to the floor.

3) Now put your hands in a push up position and try to get up.

I did it and here is what happened:

1) I DID NOT bend my knees to lift my calf up behind my thighs, actually I needed my foot on the floor to help me get leverage, it keep my knees from sliding from under me.

2) I did a push up to get me into a prayer type position. My calf had no reason to be up in the air for me to get up of the floor. I actually tried to get up with my calf up in the air and my knees keep sliding from under me.

I also had some family members who could care less about sports and who had no clue to what I was up to. After seeing them get up, guess what? NOT ONE OF THEM LIFTED THEIR CALF TO GET UP OFF THE FLOOR, let me say it one more time, NOT ONE OF THEM LIFTED THEIR CALF TO GET UP OFF THE FLOOR.

I'm sure there are so folks out there who will try this and get different results, fair enough, but this was just too obvious my friends.

Will Middlebrooks my dear Red Sox fans understood the situation, he was trying to trip the runner, period. Take a look at the replay on slow motion and notice how many push ups he  was doing next to third base.

Maybe it's part of the Red Sox fitness program.

I DON'T THINK SO.

So please Red Sox fans PUT A SOX ON IT and get over it, you tried to get away with one and you got caught, no crime in that. Move on.

Enough said.
