Wow! What a ball game last night. The game had basically everything in it, including a controversial call by the home plate ump in the bottom of the ninth inning that gave St. Louis the winning run. Now I'm not going to go into great detail of what happened at third base last night, but in short, the umpire awarded the winning run to the Cardinals because he felt the Red Sox's third baseman interfered with the runner when the catcher made a throwing error. When you watched the replay, the runner would've been out if the umpire hadn't made the ruling. What a scene. While the Cardinals were celebrating, the BoSox hovered around the umpires trying to get the call reversed with no avail. It's times like these that I am happy that I'm not a Red Sox fan. I can just imagine how those Boston fans felt last night, although I've been there myself many years ago when my beloved Blue Jays were in the playoffs. I still remember the 1985 ALCS when the Jays faced Kansas City. There were a lot of controversial calls in that series. There were so many bad calls that I can't remember just one. I was 13 years old at the time. I can't wait to see what happens in game four tonight.
