Good thing Dice-K decided to have that baby now. We need him over in Japan. Seriously, while us fans will be intrigued by this Japan trip, everything I have heard/read is that the players are hating it. All of them. They seem to be doing the right thing, though, which is shut-up, go and play hard, and take one for the team. Unlike the crybaby **** who blamed their crappy start to the 2004 season because they had to go to Japan to start the season and proceeded to crap the first month away, we are rolling with the punches. Don't blame Beckett for bailing. Not a necessary trip for him, but it will be important for Dice-K to go over and perform well. It will make the trip worth it for the Sox if Dice-K goes over and provides the energy and excitment to get the 2 wins and come back home.
While the C's have made a usually awful March more tolarable, can't wait for the beginning of the season. Great move axing Mirabelli. Sox need to start thinking about life after Varitek, so this Cash kid is a good place to start. Well see if he might have what it takes to lead the team or if we have to start looking elsewhere.
Interested to see the starting rotation. This will be my official starting 5 prediction:
Beckett, Dice-K, Lester, Wakefield, Colon
We'll go with that and see if I have any clue what is going on. :)
