Chicago Bears Greats

Sorry for not blogging in a few days. I'm a lil behind...

But I've got an idea for you. Similarly to the Glasgow Celtic group I blog on, I was thinking it would be interesting to showcase the greats in Chicago Bears history in the offseason while there's not much going on. Thought it might be pretty interesting. Here I'm putting a spin on it.

I want YOU GUYS to give me a list of the great Bears you want me to blog. Give me as many great Bears as you like, though I may not get to them all. Also don't count on me doing a showcase on the life of Cade McNown.

Here's a sample of what the showcases would look like.

But just gimmie ideas and I'll start the showcase tomorrow, or whenever.

Obviously the greats like WP, Halas and Butkus will be there, but I wanna see you give me ideas.

Really it doesn't even have to be about players. Give me ideas about just great things that you love about the Chicago Bears, too. (ie Soldier Field, the Super Bowl Shuffle, Super Bowl XX, etc)

If your not in the group, and you'd like to join, you're more than welcome. The groups jsut beginning to grown now, and all Bears fans are welcome.

Sincerely,

Stauff

Mike Ditka and William Perry and Bronko Naggurski are some of my favorite Bears so if you could make any of them that would be great. Great Idea also

Definitely the draft class of 65. Also Singletary (and great linebacker tradition) and great running back tradition. Others I've loved; Steve Mongo McMichael, Dan Hampton, and some insight into Ditkas playing days.

Ditka's coaching AND playing. Good call. Like the ideas. Keep em comin

hes got a point

all very good ideas. Ill try to get to them all, even the nicknames.

I'm glad somebody finally noticed we had a guy named Butkus playing for us.
He should have been the 1st name that came up.

Report Offensive Comment

Well I didn't say Butkus because in the blog he already said he WP, Butkus, and Halas so why would we list Butkus again.

Report Offensive Comment

I would add Richard Dent. He terrified OTs.

Also. I have deep admiration for players who toiled hard at their positions, did a great job but never received much recognition other than, possibly, a few pro-bowls. Some of these players: Matt Suhey (long time lead blocker for Walter Payton), centers Jay Hilgenberg and Olin Kruetz, gunner extraordinaire Brandon Ayanbadejo and long time long snapper Patrick Manelly.

ahh Matt Suhey, who is often confused with Matsui. Suhey is better
