I would say in this blog we have Steers, Cheers and Jeers but Peggy gave up beef for lent.  So it will be just Cheers and Jeers:

 

Cheer: Big 10 tournament – best tournament ever.

Jeer: Those of you not at the Big 10 tournament or who only watched their team play

 

Cheer:  Big Ten Network.  They had wonderful coverage all year around.  We were so glad the hotel had it.  We are not just saying that because we want free stuff. We would also like a free tour, too.

Jeers: Comcast. Bet you are kind of regretting now not giving your customers the Big 10 network??. Man up and stop distorting the facts and give the people what they want.  (And give your customers the NFL channel on basic too while you are at it)

 

Cheer: Wisconsin.  Congratulations!  The best team in the regular season wins the tournament in impressive fashion

Jeer: The NCAA seeding of Wisconsin.  They have 29 wins, won the regular and post season Big 10, and beat Texas in Austin and YOU SEED THEM A #3 behind Texas at #2.  Tony was wrong about the biggest #2 he’d ever seen: You are full of one it with a bigger one.

 

Cheer: The Nittany Lion.  Uber mascot. So fun to watch

Jeer: Every other team mascot.  Other teams take notes of the Lion.  Some of the mascots were worse than Indiana’s and Illinois.  Nothing was better them.  Yes, even nothing was better than them. 

 

Jeers: PF Chang’s.  If you continue to be snippy at long term customers overtime you will end up with no one left to be snippy at.

Cheers: Harry and Izzy’s.  I was grumpy coming in but they put a smile on my face (not the way a Minnesota cheerleader would do either) on how they handled being overbooked.  Nice dinner.  The company on the other hand….

 

Cheer:  St John Catholic Church.  The reader was amazing.  The canter was amazing.  The song during offertory was beautiful

Jeer:  Any one who would jeer a church.

 

Cheer:  Tubby.  Nice coaching additions to the Big 10.  Kentucky you are so dumb for letting him go.  Though watching him after Friday night’s game on TV we all wondered why he was yelling at his players in the locker room.  They won, didn’t they.  I thought he was going to make them cry.

Jeer: Iowa.  I miss Alford.  His team does, too.

 

Jeer: Embassy Suites.  I normally love this chain but it was off all weekend.  Where you actually seemed surprised you would have so many people show up and they would want,  like towels and such?

Cheer: Indianapolis – well hosted tournament.  Thank you.

 

Finally, as and ode to the friends and family with me at the tourney:  I am going to put a quarter and play this song from the juke box at the restaurant “Boobies, Boobies, Boobies and Lobster” (Coming soon to a location with open zoning laws near you) and play this song by Garth Brooks (or the canter at St John’s today) to the tune of “Friends in Low Places”:

We toasted you and said honey the tourney is through, and we are going to complain!!!!
