Apparently Jerry Jones is getting a new title to add to his present ones; Owner, President, General Manager and now (drum roll please) that of Defensive Coordinator as well. Jerry Jones was asked during an interview at a local radio station if he was going to make any coaching changes after last Sunday Night???s debacle. He said that one change he was willing to make was on defense. Basically he wants more man-to-man coverage and less zone. He not only said it once during that interview he said it twice. This leads me to believe he will be in the coaches meetings and will demand Monte Kiffin make changes to his defensive scheme. Now JJ hired the coaches and he can fire them as well so if he???s unhappy with their performance on the field he should fire them. This is what a General Manger does; he hires and fires personnel he is unhappy with. Clearly what I got from that interview was that JJ wants to make changes to the coach???s strategies. Now I don???t know exactly what his agreements are with the coaches but I believe he is crossing the line from GM to Coach.

Jerry has been this way since Jimmy left.. he's got the 'Al Davis syndrome' now and thats why the Boys are in the shape they're in.. can't keep meddling with players & coaches.. have to get the DBs to tackle better would be a start.. these guys can't tackle worth crap.. especially #38.. I think his name is Jeff Heath.. a safety.. I can't count how many tackles I saw him miss against the Saints

Poor tackling and fundamentals are a hallmark of this D.

That's funny. He hired Monte Kiffin... the only coach more synonymous with the Cover 2 defense is Tony Dungy.

And I get it, the defense isn't working. But the worst thing you can do is take a coach and make him run a scheme he's not comfortable with. Might as well just fire him mid-season.

JJ is running in quick sand. looking for quick fixes that don't exist. this team is a "JJ mess!" he knows it and is trying to make adjustments that might salvage a season. until he hires a real HC and stays out of the strategy business.... this team will remain a .500 club.
