It's another Football Friday and The Stack is here to preview week 12 in the NFL. Four teams have byes this week. Weird right? Off to a 1-0 start thanks to the New Orleans Saints hanging on to beat the Atlanta Falcons 17-13 last night. The Falcons had numerous chances to beat the Saints, but made too many mistakes. What a bad season for Atlanta. Now, let's get right to some previews and predictions for week 12 in the NFL for today, Friday, November 22:
New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Jets lost last week so this week is a guaranteed victory for them. Right? They've alternated wins and losses all year so Baltimore better be ready. They will be. The defense will force Geno Smith into some more mistakes and the Ravens should get a victory.
Prediction: Ravens 23 Jets 15
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Browns are favored in this one. Stop laughing! Really, they are. They actually have a better defense and their offense isn't bad either. I think they do it. I think they beat the Steelers.
Prediction: Browns 27 Steelers 20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions 1:00 PM ET FOX
While the Lions should win this one since they are ticked that they lost last week, be wary of the Bucs who have won two games in a row and are playing with a lot of confidence. This is one the Lions should win, but it's going to be tight. Kind of like last week. This week, the Lions better not lay an egg.
Prediction: Lions 31 Bucs 20
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers 1:00 PM ET FOX
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook says the Packers are vulnerable without Aaron Rodgers. What an insightful individual. By the end of this game, Cook will realize the Vikings are vunlerable no matter who is quarterbacking them.
Prediction: Packers 30 Vikings 20
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans 1:00 PM ET CBS
The AFC South basement dwellers meet to decide who really wants last place in the AFC South. It also is a battle for the number one overall draft pick in 2014. If that isn't enough to entice you to watch, I don't know what will!
Prediction: Texans 27 Jaguars 14
San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs 1:00 PM ET CBS
The Chargers have lost a lot of close games this year. Expect another one on Sunday. KC's defense is going to play much better than they did against Denver in terms of getting pressure on the quarterback and their offense will do enough to get by the Chargers.
Prediction: Chiefs 23 Chargers 16
Carolina Panthers @ Miami Dolphins 1:00 PM ET FOX
Watch out for the letdown Carolina. After a big Monday night win over New England, this game has loss written all over it. However, keeping up with the Saints will keep Carolina focused. Expect Cam Newton to have another great game and the Panthers defense to stop Miami in their tracks.
Prediction: Panthers 27 Dolphins 16
Chicago Bears @ St. Louis Rams 1:00 PM ET FOX
Running back Zac Stacy and the Rams better have been taking notes last week on how Ray Rice ran all over the Bears. Stacy will do just fine and the Rams defense will do enough to get the win.
Prediction: Rams 20 Bears 13
Indianapolis Colts @ Arizona Cardinals 4:05 PM ET CBS
One of the toughest games to pick of the NFL weekend. The Cardinals defense can contain the Rams. And their offense, particularly the passing game has gotten better in recent weeks. Andrew Luck's halftime outburst last week better do the trick for the Colts not to fall in another early hole. I don't know how this one fairs. It's a toss up.
Prediction: Cardinals 27 Colts 23
Tennessee Titans @ Oakland Raiders 4:05 PM ET CBS
I know Matt McGloin played great for the Raiders last week in his first start throwing three touchdowns. He's starting again this week, but I don't think he has similar success. Titans will run against Oakland with Chris Johnson and come out of the Black Hole with a win.
Prediction: Titans 24 Raiders 19
Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants 4:25 PM ET FOX
Another challenging game to pick this weekend. The Giants have won four games in a row. They're brimming with confidence. They've been talking all week. Yet, the Cowboys have had two weeks to prepare and they have to win to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles. Tough game. A true tossup. I think Tony Romo gets the better of Eli Manning though.
Prediction: Cowboys 30 Giants 24
Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots 8:30 PM ET NBC
So they meet again. Peyton Manning versus Tom Brady. Brady has had the edge overall, but Manning's team is the better one in this matchup. The scoreboard operators better be ready. There will be a lot of points in this one. And if Manning's ankle holds up, which I think it will, the Broncos will be 10-1 at the end of this game.
Prediction: Broncos 34 Patriots 30
