This is just great for Nets fans. False. If the Knicks trade for Carter, Jason Kidd will probably leave, too. Then all the Nets will have is RJ and they will clearly be in a rebuilding period; although I do think Marcus Williams has the ability to take over for Kidd. And, the Nets do like Frye. Mikki is OK but Kristic is soft. Frye would definitely be an improvement over Kristic. But without Carter and Kidd, Jefferson will have to carry most of the load, and I wouldn't see many playoff appearances in the near future for the Nets.
