So far this season the BCS Standings have not changed much, however of the course of the next two weeks I'm predictions major changes. Below are my bold predictions.
This weeks slate of matchup as two inter top-10 matchups. Alabama travels to Auburn to take on the newest member to the Top Five in BCS. Head east, and the Clemson Tigers travel to Columbia to take on a stingy South Carolina looking to jump into the BCS bowl chatter. Along with these there are a number of intriguing matchups going on across the country. Florida State travels to Gainesville to play a beat up Gator team that is hurt on both sides of the ball. Ohio State travels to Ann Arbor, to play a free falling Michigan team just looking to find a rhythm. Back in the SEC you have Texas A&M visiting Missouri , who is looking to leap back into the National Championship talk with their starting quarterback James Franklin back on the field. Also, not to be forgotten, PAC 12 leader Stanford, plays host to Notre Dame, who always shows up to play on the west coast despite their record. Not much to talk about the Big 12 this week, probably best game on paper this week for them is Baylor traveling to TCU. Oklahoma St gets a week off after a dominating win over the Bears this past week.
A look below at this weeks BCS Standings:
Current BCS Standings as of 11/24
2. Florida State
3. Ohio State
7. Oklahoma State
10. South Carolina
After this final regular season week is done with, here is a look at my projected BCS Standings for Conference Championship week.
Predicted BCS Standings for 12/1
1. Florida State
2. Ohio State
7. Oklahoma State
10. Michigan State
Things may look out of place, but I predict Auburn getting the win at home against Alabama, ending AJ McCarron's National Title and Heisman hopes. Michigan will give Ohio State all they can handle, but the Buckeyes will pull away late. Not enough for Auburn to jump them in the two spot. Clemson takes care of the Gamecocks, which welcomes new comer to the Top 10, Michigan State. This setting up a very important Big 10 Championship game in Indianapolis.
Florida State is slatted to get either Duke or Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship game. The Blue Devils can clinch with a win in Chapel Hill against North Carolina. It will be an all Tigers matchup for the SEC Championship with Auburn playing Missouri. Down in Stillwater, The Bedlam Series between the Sooners and Cowboys plays an important roll for the At-Large teams looking for a chance to play in a BCS bowl game. Another Big 12 game that will have teams like Northern Illinois, Fresno State, and UCF playing close attention to is Baylor against Texas. Baylor losing opens the door for those teams to sneak in with some help. On the west coast Stanford will take care of business with the Sun Devils.
Post Conference Championship weekend , here is a look at how I think the BCS Standings will fall into place:
Predicted BCS Standings for 12/8
1. Florida State
5. Oklahoma State
7. Michigan State
9. Ohio St
10. Northern Illinois
With Michigan State beating Ohio State and Baylor beating Texas, that closes the door on the At Large hopefuls. Despite their Orange Bowl appearance last season and finishing in the Top 10 of the BCS, Northern Illinois will get left out of this seasons, with UCF sneaking in.
Here's a look at my projected BCS Bowl Games.
