Mark Sweeney was the star of today's game, smashing a two-run homer in the seventh-inning to win the game for Los Angeles. The designated-hitter also had a single, compiling two totals hits in the game - which is equal to 40% of the Dodgers' hits today.
Russell Martin has a batting-average of .175 through Spring Training thus far. The All-Star catcher needs to focus on improving his power at the plate, and of course, his consistency against right-handed pitchers. Los Angeles will not tolerate this slump if it continues through the 2008 Regular Season.
Hiroki Kuroda pitched five superb innings, surrendering one run on three hits. While Kuroda was on the mound, about 85% of the outs were on fly balls. However, the pitcher has yet to give up a home-run in 14 innings thus far.
Clayton Kershaw picked up the save today with three shutout innings. Kershaw only gave up two hits in the spectacular outing. Also, Takashi Saito grabbed the win with a perfect frame against the Marlins.
Blog Note: Do you like this Recap style better than my usual five-prong method of analyzing each Dodgers' game?

I like the blog. Short and too the point. Nice easy read. The Dodgers are a weird team to me. They got young and old but it's an odd mix. Torre and Jones will help in a very tough division.

Thank you for your kind words.
The Dodgers are focusing both on the present and their future. I hope that it works out for the best!
I'm glad to see that you like the Dodgers too, Camezquita.

either style is fine with me. I will read it either way. I usually just check out the score and don't look at who did what knowing I'll see your blog with all the info.

Thank you, SmoothSandy. You're my most reliable reader.
I'm considering moving this blog to a larger website - like Wordpress - where I can implement a new theme - but right now it looks as if it's staying at FanNation.

Anyways... The blog is pretty good either way... I'm not really a Dodger fan, I just read this thing late at night usually.
