I dont understand....
Deron has domnated the league the last two seasons, he was unstopable in the post season last year and so far this year. He has handed Chris Paul his can all season and last. He plays agianst the best points every night and outplays them almost nightly. He has been averging over 16 assist a game in the month of March, and now is tied for #2 in the league with 10.8 for the season. D-Will has single handley keep the Jazz in the playoff hunt seince December.
I under stand that he plays for the Utah Jazz and they get next to no media coverage at all. It was that way even when the greatest point guard played in this league (John Stockton) and to many the best power foward to ever play in the league (Karl Malone).
Also i understand you can only have so many players in the All-Star game but the disrecept he has been shown is mind blowing. you never hear him complaine about the calls he get and he is so level headed that last night when he got frustrated about the officating he got his first Tech of the season.

I totally agree! The Utah Jazz has always taken the back seat of the media car. Right now no one mentions Utah or that they are any kind of threat. Do they not realize we have just as many wins as the other top teams in the West? Do they not see that we have the best home record in the NBA right now and we play 10 of our last 14 at home? So why are we not any threat? And Deron Williams is one of the best points in the game right now and all I hear is Chris Paul. Okay, he is a great player, but he is not on the same level Deron is with his team. Look at what Deron is averaging in assists this month. I think that his time is coming and that come playoff time we will hear about the Jazz that "came out of nowhere" when in fact we were in your faces the entire time.

Report Offensive CommentI think it's unfortunate -- but unavoidable -- that whenever Deron gets a mention, it's in the context of how he compares to Chris Paul. Both these guys are franchise players and shouldn't have to hear "You're good, but you're no CP3" or vice versa. I'd compare this to Isiah and Magic in the 80's. You might have your favorite, but really you can make a case either way. Both spectacular, both great leaders, each with a different style that worked perfectly for their respective teams. If I had to choose one to QB my team for the next dozen years, I take DW . . not because he's "better" but because I suspect he's going to be damn good and more durable than Paul.

Report Offensive CommentExaclty! I don't think that Williams is a better or that Paul is better. I can just see Deron being here for a long time and only getting better every year.

Report Offensive CommentI agree. I think Deron is a better all around PG than Chris Paul, but I know I am in the minority oppinion there. Paul is more flashy, but I think longterm, the Jazz will be glad they have Deron instead of CP
