The Jets came into this week with 0 TDs in their previous two games.  Geno Smith had an average 39.2 QB rating in those games.  For the 5th time this season, the Raiders made a struggling QB look good.

On the Jets 2nd possession, Kevin Burnett picked off Smith on the Jets 37 yard line.  The Raiders preceeded to do nothing with the field position and Seabass missed a 52 yard FG.  Jets take over on the 42 yard line and Smith throws his first TD pass since week 7 - a 26 yard jump ball that ended up in the right hands.

On the Raiders 3rd possession, Pryor comes in.  McGloin wasn't doing badly - and as upset as Rich Gannon was about the shake up in the QB choice, the Raiders had already indicated they were going to play Pryor in a few packages.  It was an odd point in the game to do it though, that's the only thing I'll say about that.  Pryor did manage to get the Raiders down the field and in position to kick a 41 yd field goal.

The Raiders could just do nothing defensively or offensively.  Even when McGloin returned to the game.  The Jets kept putting points on the board and just before the half blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone for a TD.  Raiders go into halftime 17 points down.

In the second half there were some nice scoring plays - Reece's 63 yard run for a TD, Streater's 40 yard TD catch, another FG by Seabass. But the Raiders couldn't stop the Jets.  Every inch they got closer, they gave it right back.  With 8:58 remaining in the 4th quarter, down by 17, the Raiders acted like it was the Third quarter moving slow as molasses like they had all the time in the world.  It took them over 6 minutes to score 7 points and the game was essentially over.

Another winnable game lost.  Another struggling QB given their confidence back.  RGIII got his first win of the season against us; Nick Foles broke NFL records and had a perfect QB rating throwing for over 400 yards and 7 TDs against us; Eli Manning was 2-6 and had 15 picks coming into the game against us; Fitzpatrick even looked good playing us.

For a defensive minded coach, the defense should be playing better than this.  They went from being top 5, to top 10 to wherever the heck they are now.  Charles Woodson said it best:  "We peed down our leg".

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

The defense was just bad and like you said they made Geno look legit. And he's not, he's a turnover machine.

It was awful. I should have watched more of the snow games - they were much more competitive.

Surprised I found a legit blog through all that live streaming crap. You think McGloin is their guy going forward?

For the next three games, yes. Pryor will be thrown in there possibly, but I don't see them starting Pryor again this season. Could be wrong though.

Interestingly enough, only McGloin's presser is on the Raiders site. DA's is no where to be seen. Hmmmm.

Wow, that's interesting.

Could mean nothing. Could mean... something.

If the Raiders would have drafted some speed in the last 8 to 10 drafts, maybe they would have gotten somewhere.
