The Dodgers trade Perdo Martinez to the Expos for Delino Deshields: The Dodgers needed Delino to patch up there infield. They could have also used a lights-out flamethrower.
The Mets trade Nolan Ryan, Ron Rose, Frank Estrada, and Leroy Stanton to the Angels for Jim Fregosi: Jim went on to hit .230 with the Mets. Nolan didn't do much, except become quite possibly the greatest pitcher who has ever lived.
Texas trades Ron Darling and Walt Terrell to the Mets for Lee Mazzilli: What the hell were the Rangers thinking?
The Giants trade Joe Nathan, Boof Bonser, and Francisco Liriano to the Twins for A.J. Pierznyski: OUCH!!!! That one is gonna sting for years to come.
