Cheezhead's Bracket Full of Cheez!!!: Elite Eight | Thoughts From the Mind of a Cheezhead

If you have more than 2 teams that are the same as mine going into the Final Four, then thanks, you make me feel better...my bracket might surprise you...

The first round just started, and I'm almost done with my pre-tournament picks. I think these are still fine; I'm at the Elite 8. So if you want to see who I'm picking for today's games, check out my Round of 64 blog. Then, so you don't go from 64 to 8, check out my Round of 32 blog along with my Sweet 16 blog. Don't worry, the blogs aren't long. Here we go....:

East (Charlotte) Region

(1) UNC vs. (3) Louisville..........UNC

Midwest (Detroit) Region

(1) Kansas vs. (3) Wisconsin..........Wisconsin *$

South (Houston) Region

(4) Pittsburgh vs. (6) Marquette..........Marquette *$!!!

West (Phoenix) Region

(1) UCLA vs. (2) Duke..........UCLA *#$!!! (I thought I could get 2 games of the round :-D)

So, there you go. I might be the only guy on FanNation with a Final Four of UCLA, UNC, Marquette, and Wisconsin.

will be a huge game vs. Duke, but in the end the Blue Devils lack of strength inside the paint will lose the game, because you can't go into the Final Four living on the three-ball and nothing else.

UNC's game vs. Louisville will either be a close escape or a blowout for UNC, I don't know. Because sometimes the Tar Heels can be dominant, and other times (it has happened too many times for me, being a Duke fan), they would play a nobody and win in the last minute. As the rounds go on better teams will play UNC and they won't let the Heels come back.

Kansas and Wisconsin: something's telling me Wisconsin can get on a roll, and seeing Kansas can't really do too much in the tournament (Choke! Choke! Bucknell!), their bad luck will catch up with them.

And then Pitt-Marquette. If Pitt wins in this Big East semi-final matchup, it'll have to be because of foul shooting. If they lose, it'll be because of poor foul shooting.
