So now MLB is trying to get their greedy little paws on more money. The international market is wide open. What other reason could there be for starting the season opener in Japan. As Bobby Valentine stated the timing is bad, as the Japanese leagues will be getting their season started the same time. The Red Sox arrived in Japan today after an 18 hour flight. Don't when when the A's got there.
Before all this happened you have to go back a few days when the Red Sox were refusing to get on the plane, if the the coaches and staff didn't get conpensated (cold hard cash). The players were already getting 40 thousand, yet they still felt the need to whine about doing their job. These same multimillion dollars babies said, that it wasn't greed, but unity. Yeah, unity about everyone getting more loot.
They received a charter flight, luxury hotel and free meals, but that wasn't enough. I'd like to know why they got any compensation. Isn't it their job to play baseball, afterall that's why they were going to Japan. I sure wish I could get an extra 40 thousand for 1 week of work, but Hell didn't freeze over. I will never believe that athletes do anything without getting paid. I know they often give to charity, but that's easy when it doesn't hurt to give. Try giving on my pay check. In my humble opinion, just keep baseball in America where it belongs.
