Well, the Canadian Men's Olympic hockey team was revealed yesterday, but not without controversy. All day long yesterday, the hockey world kept talking about the fact that Tampa Bay Lightning's forward, Martin St. Louis was not on the roster. A lot of people, including some broadcasters, were not too pleased with the decision. After all, Steve Yzerman is not just the general manager of the Canadian Olympic squad, but he is also the GM. of the Lightning. However, some people were saying that Yzerman may have tried to get him on the roster, but was overruled by the rest of the selection committee. Whatever the case, St. Louis is not on the squad. Here's who is on the roster: Goal Tenders: Cary Price, Roberto Luongo, and Mike Smith. Defence: Jay Bouwmeester, Drew Doughty, Dan Hamhuis, Duncan Kieth, Alex Pietrangelo, P.K. Subban, Marc-Edouard Vlastic, and Shea Webber. Forwards: Sidney Crosby, Steven Stamkos, Jamie Benn, Patrice Bergeron, Jeff Carter, Matt Duchene, Ryan Getzlaf, Chris Kunitz, Patrick Marleau, Rick Nash, Cory Perry, Patrick Sharp, John Tavares, and Jonathan Toews. You be the judge.
