Alright, I'm trying this again. Tiger Woods is not your average golfer. I'm sure everybody knows that. It all started when he was a baby. He would sit in his high chair and watch his dad practice his drive. As soon as he could walk, he wanted to swing a club too.

His dad was amazed. Tiger's backswing was awesome. It still had some flaws to it, but it was good for a kid is age. Earl took Tiger to the putting green at the near-by Navy Golf Course, and soon he was was knocking the ball in the hole. A few months later, Earl took Tiger to the driving range. Everytime, he would get better. Tiger used to pester his father everyday to go play golf. By the time he was three, he was hitting the ball out of sand traps. The people at NGC didn't want Tiger playing there.

Tiger just kept getting better and better. By the age of six, he was reaching the greens that once seemed so far away. In 1982 he played his first tournament, The World 10-and-under Championship , and won it. In 1991, at the age of 15, Tiger decided to enter the USGA Junior Championship, which is open to players 18 and under. Incredibly, he won the tournament, sinking a pressure putt on the first hole of sudden death. No one his age had ever won that tournament.

Tiger turned his attention to picking a college in the summer of 1993. He chose Stanford Universityin Northern California. Tiger became the NCAA top-ranked player in the country in just a couple of months. After Tiger Woods won the 1996 U.S Amateur, he turned pro. He was offerd a lot of sponsership offers. He only accepted two, which were Nike and Titleist. And now he has grown to who we know and love today.
