Major Baseball owners approved to expand video replay yesterday, starting this year. Here is a list of situations that video replay is going to be used for: - Ground-rule doubles - Fan interference - Stadium boundary calls - Force plays (except a fielder's touching second base on a double play) - Tag plays - Fair/foul balls in the outfield only - Trap plays in the outfield only - Timing plays (whether a runner scores before the third out) - Touching a base (only when appealed) - Passing runners - Record keeping (ball-strike counts to batters, outs, scores and substitutions). In other baseball news, the Tampa Bay Rays signed David Price to a one-year, $14 million contract yesterday.
