I'm here to start a new occasional segment on how all my "For Dummies" guides helped the person writing them. Basically, I'm going to update you on my bracket. Maybe it'll make me seem like a dummie just like all of you.
-My usual March Madness pool is only three people big, with me and two of my best friends, but its so incredibly heated. Despite the entry fee being only $1, we argue about our picks constantly and want to earn a year's worth of bragging rights. But the rest of my pool is back in NE Ohio, and I've had little communication with them, so for the first two rounds, we're all playing blind.
-My Final Four: Pitt, North Carolina, UCLA, Georgetown.
-I had Vanderbilt in the Final Four, but I read and article in the Virgin island times (yes, the Virgin Island times) picking them to lose to Siena, so I bumped them down to the Sweet 16. YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!
-On the first day, I saw some of my picks go well, but all of my upset picks go to crap. But after one day, i was a solid 12-4.
-On the second day, I saw Vandy lose, and many other upsets happen, none that really helped me. Except for Villanova over Clemson, whcih is the only upset I picked right so far. Still, after what I;m sure was a rough day for everyone, I was 9-7 for a first round record of 23-13 for 23 points.
-Day three, I saw all the lame duck games that i didn't caare about. But I did care about Duke losing (siht) Stanford winning (how'd that shot go in?) Pitt losing (and then there were 3) and UCLA winning (seriously, if you would have lost to Texas A&M, I would have been REALLY PI$SED), Kansas winning, and Notre Dame losing (dam you, Wazzou) so overall, i picked up a cool 6 points.
Well, if this blog post goes well, I'll update you again soon. Peace!
