In his next fight "Babyface" jumped from RITC to King of the Cage where he fought at KOTC 8 Bombs Away on April 29 2001. Maybe it was a mistake to leave RITC, Dewees was tripped up by a decision loss to Jeremy Edwards to snap the win streak.
He tried to get back on track in his next bout by leaving KOTC for Gladiator Challenge where on June 17, 2001 he fought at GC Collision at Colusa. Again though it wasn't meant to be, Joe Stevenson bested Dewees also by decision.
After his second straight loss he didn't waste time getting back to his old home, RITC. Only five days removed from the GC bout Dewees fought against George Lockhart at RITC 29, and of course got back on the winning track.
Dewees went on to win six more at RITC to push his winning streak in the promotion to 18 before finally losing to Drew Fickett. Now, as of 3/24 and through 46 fights "Babyface" has a solid 34-12 record. But get this, in RITC he is 29-4 and outside of the promotion he is 5-8. Three of those eight losses came against Rich Franklin, Chris Leben, and Jorge Rivera in Dewees' three UFC appearances.
