Great players. They have come from  different times, different cultures. Great players are hard to come by. The greatest baseball players of all time are on this team, the All-Time Baseball Team.

C- Yogi Berra, New York Yankees. Arguably the greatest of all-time. Yogi was a beast during his years in the majors. A fifteen-time All-Star, Yogi once led the high-powered Yankees in RBI in seven straight seasons. He won 3 MVP awards on a team with legends Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. The greatest catcher of all-time. Period.

1B- Lou Gehrig, New York Yankees. This was an easy choice. When you think Yankees, you might not think of Gehrig right away, but if you lived during his time you would. The Iron Horse was a six-time All-Star and set the record for consecutive games played. He won 2 MVPs and won the Triple Crown in 1934. He set so many unbelieveable feats, he is the greatest one right here.

2B- Rogers Hornsby, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Browns, New York Giants, Boston Braves, Chicago Cubs. He was a hitting monster. This man led the National League in average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage for 6 consecutive seasons. He's second in career batting average all-time. What's more, he won two Triple Crowns. Definitely the greatest second baseman of all-time, could make a case for greatest contact hitter.

3B- Mike Schmidt, Philadelphia Phillies. The greatest hitter at 3B of all time and one of the best fielders. His 536 career homers are the most among third basemen. He won ten Gold Gloves, which proves that he is one of the best all-around players. Schmidt won 8 NL home run titles. That shows Schmidt is the greatest at the hot corner.

SS- Honus Wagner, Louisville Colonels, Pittsburgh Pirates. This is an obvious choice. He hit over .300 in 17 straight seasons. That's something. In eight of those seasons he won the NL batting title. His career average of .329 will stand as one of the best. Wagner was versatile, playing every position except catcher. He's one of the greatest players in history, and greatest shortstop, no doubt.

OF- Ty Cobb, Detriot Tigers greatest hitter of all-time. There is proof. He has the highest career batting average, and won the batting title a record 11 times. Cobb won the Triple Crown in 1909 and hit 9 home runs that year, and, unbelievably, all were inside-the-park. He was amazing, unstoppable.

Babe Ruth, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees  Many consider him to be the greatest baseball player of all-time. He hit 714 home runs, a record that stood until Henry Aaron hit his 715th. I really don't have to say anymore about him. He was a leader and a hero.

Willie Mays, New York/San Francisco Giants, New York Mets. The Say Hey Kid is fourth in career homers with 660. He also tied a record when he appeared in his 24th All-Star game. He won an amazing 12 Gold Gloves, and was part of the first all-black outfield in baseball. Now that's something. Actually, it's all something.

P- Walter Johnson, Washington Nationals/Senators. He was definitely the most dominant, the best. A total of 3,509 career strikeouts has him ninth on the all-time list. He had 12 20-win seasons, and 2 30-win seasons. His 417 wins rank second all-time. 3 time he won the Triple crown for pitchers, and he won AL MVP twice. He is definitely the greatest pitcher of all-time, and now, I have finished my work here. I'd appreciate any feedback.
