1. Miami- LT Jake Long Michigan- I still feel at this spot that Miami should take the Glamour position of the offensive line. You can justify paying a LT big money. There really is no reason to take anyone else. People can make the arguement for DE/OLB Chris Long, but I think he is the most overrated player of the top 10 picks. Plus, I can't see Parcells paying a 3-4 OLB 30 Million Guaranteed. It just doesn't make sense to me. Sedrick Ellis or Glenn Dorsey don't fit the 3-4 NT scheme. They would be very similar to the Jets DT Robertson. The only other option is to move back a little and pick either Long's or Vernon Gholston. But it is going to be hard to find a suitor. Jake Long would fortify the left side and move LT Vernon Carey back to RT. It would strengthen two positions. NFL Comparison: LT Matt Light, Patriots
2. Rams- DE Vernon Gholston OSU- Mr. Gholston is a Work out warrior that also translates to the playing field. This guy isn't overrated at all. He is 6-3 266lbs, 4.58 forty, 37 Reps, and 42 inch vertical. But also he has had 22.5 sacks over the last two seasons. He has played against good Offensive tackles including Jake Long and Joe Thomas. Leonard Little is almost 50 now and James Hall is okay, but nothing special. Gholston will make it hard for teams when they are down and have to pass to catch back up. Hopefully the Rams can land Dan Connor in round two, they will stregnthen three spots. DE, MLB, and OLB. They will be able to move Will Witherspoon back to Weakside LB. NFL Comparison: DE Osi Umenyiora, Giants
3. Falcons- DT Glenn Dorsey LSU- The Falcons have pressing issues in many places. The Falcons have to fix the Offensive and Defensive line. They have Abraham on one end who is pretty productive and must get more out of 2nd year player Anderson on the other side. The Falcons have no Defensive tackle on their roster who scares anyone. Dorsey will get a good rush in the passing game and is no slouch on the running game either. Dorsey will be one of the building blocks for a start to a new Defense in Atlanta. NFL Comparison: DT Warren Sapp, Retired
4. Raiders- DT Sedrick Ellis USC- This is really a toss up between Chris Long and Ellis. Tommy Kelly can play DE or DT. But from what I am hearing the Raiders are asking Kelly to drop 10-15lbs and play DE for the big 50 Million dollar contract. So that means that DT is the biggest need spot. Tardell Sands is a massive DT but is limited in rushing the QB, so you insert Sedrick Ellis next to him and it gives them the best Defensive line since losing the Super Bowl. I don't think McFadden will go here now, because the Raiders running game was pretty darn good already. So the biggest spot would be DT. NFL Comparison: DT Kevin Williams, Vikings
5. Chiefs- QB Matt Ryan BC- I am not very high on Matt Ryan, but Herm Edwards is. Ryan looked pretty good at his pro day and more athletic than people thought. I would trade back if anyone would be interested to get McFadden to select the next best offensive tackle. The Chiefs do have decent skilled position players but have many holes on the offensive and defensive line. Both Defensive Tackle spots, LT, RT, C, and RG. Look for the Chiefs to get Gosder Cherilus in the 2nd round. NFL Comparison: QB Phillip Rivers
6. Jets- OLB Chris Long UVA- The Jets overpaid big time for Calvin Pace but are still looking for someone on the other side. Chris Long is easy at this point and they already have two good/decent runningback options. With the additions of Woody and Faneca, people in NY will sing praises of Thomas Jones. Chris Long is overrated but the Jets would be a good fit for him. NFL Comparison: DE Justin Smith/Grant Wistrom
7. Patriots- OT Ryan Clady Boise St.- The Patriots have need at RT, FS, SS, CB. Bill is not big on choosing CB's in the first round and really early in the draft. The Patriots signed CB Fernando Bryant and may get Ty Law off of the streets. Plus, anyone who knows Belichicks secondary, knows that he can fit ANYONE in and still perform. I think that the Pats will go with an Offensive tackle that can play RT to begin with and eventually take over for LT Matt Light when he hangs it up. NFL Comparison: LT Tarik Glenn
8. Ravens- CB Leodis McKelvin Troy St.- The Ravens are getting old quickly on defense. LT would be an option but too high for anyone else at this point. The Ravens must develope a great corner to start along side long time veteran Chris McCallister. McKelvin can't catch the ball to save his own life but he breaks up many passes. He will bring lots of youth to a secondary that badly needs some. NFL Comparison: CB Terrence Newman
9. Bengals- OLB Keith Rivers USC- It's very early to see a Linebacker chosen but at this point the Bengals have no where else to turn. Since both top 10 Defensive tackles are off of the board, Cincy goes for the best linebacker availible. Rivers is very athletic and can make plays everywhere on the field. He does have a tendency to overrun a lot of plays though. NFL Comparison- D.J. Williams
10. Saints- DT Kentwan Balmer UNC- A bit of a reach at this point but no other person is worth taking at this point. The Saints got CB Randall Gay, MLB Jonathan Vilma, DE Bobby McCray, and M/OLB Dan Morgan to provide a little more power to the Defense. They still have no one at Defensive Tackle. Balmer is the next best thing at Defensive tackle. The Saints could look to take a CB but I doubt it. NFL Comparison: Marcus Spears
11. Bills- CB Dominique Rogers-Cromartie Tenn St.- The Bills have a need at WR, but they need a CB opposite of Terrance McGee bad. DRC is a top flight CB and will make an immediate impact. The Bills better hope that obtaining DT Marcus Stroud and OLB Kavika Mitchell will create a little more pressure on the QB to help out the young secondary. NFL Comparison: Antonio Cromartie
12. Broncos- RB Darren McFadden Arkansas- At last.....Most of you thought it would never EVER happen hu? I think he will fall very far. I know that Shanahan doesn't draft RB's high and he needs Defensive and Offensive line help across the board, but he is losing the Denver Faithful and has to do something quick to help his team. I think that McFadden will have a better career in the zone blocking scheme. Cutler needs a little more help as well. It's a crazy selection but I think this will happen! NFL Comparison: Willis McGahee
13. Panthers- OT Chris Williams Vandy- The Panthers have moved Travelle Wharton back to LG and Jordan Gross from RT to LT. Chris Williams will help fortify the offensive line as they continue to play musical chairs. Williams is very athletic and will fit in well in the zone blocking scheme. It's all up to DeAngelo Williams now! NFL Comparison- LT Michael Roos
14. Chicago- RB Rashard Mendenhall Ill.- The Bears need to ditch Benson as quickly as possible. Mendenhall can run, catch, and pass protect. He also uses his size very well and is very shifty. Mendenhall can take a lot of pressure off of whoever is playing QB for the Bears and make playaction work for once. RT is a big need as well but they can look at OT Carl Nicks in round two. NFL Comparison- Michael Turner
15. Lions- DE Derrick Harvey Florida- The Lions could choose a RB but I don't think they will pick Stewart due to the injury. The Lions have not been able to get to the QB. They signed some good veteran secondary players that will help out early and often but they still have issues at DE. The Cover 2 Scheme only works when you have pressure. Harvey can get to the QB. NFL Comparison- DE Derrick Burgess
16. Cardinals- OT Jeff Otah Pitt- The Cardinals need another offensive tackle to go along with Brown on the other side. This tandem would be a good run blocking crew for the Cardinals. Otah would play LT and basically be a RT when Leinart is playing QB. RB is a need but people are making way too much out of this. Plus, this draft has the deepest RB classes I have ever seen. NFL Comparison- OT Tra Thomas
17. Minnesota- DE Phillip Merling Clemson- The Vikings addressed Safety and WR but still have a huge hole at DE. I am not too high on Merling but at this point there is not much else to go to. Hopefully Merling can get some pressure on opposing QB's so the Vikings can finally find a pass rusher. NFL Comparison- DE Charles Grant
18. Texans- RB Jonathan Stewart Oregon- The Texans are left with almost no pick at the LT position. The Texans must do something to improve the ground game. Stewart will take a while to heal but he could be a very explosive player in the NFL. He is a big guy but he takes too many hits rather than delivers them. Not the best in the open field but has the vision and speed to get to the second level. NFL Comparison- Ronnie Brown
19. Eagles- WR Devin Thomas Mich St.- Donovan McNabb is going to finally get some help other than another OL. Thomas is a big, fast target that will convert very well to the west coast system. I think he is one of the better WR's for yards after catch in the NFL Draft. NFL Comparison- WR Reggie Wayne, but faster
20. Bucs- WR DeSean Jackson Cal- Despite Brian Brohms great workout, the Bucs still need an explosive WR and PR. With this selection the Bucs get an impact player on the first day. He might be a No. 3 WR for a while but he can make plays on special teams and that makes the offenses job way easier. The Bucs have signed a lot of quality depth to their roster that has never been there before. This season will result in the playoffs again. NFL Comparison- WR Santana Moss
21. Redskins- DE Quentin Groves Auburn- Groves is a little smaller but he is very fast and quick to get around the edge. The Redskins have been missing a pass rusher since Bruce Smith retired. Groves will be a consistent force in the NFL. Teams will be able to run on his side a little but 3rd down and long......watch out. NFL Comparison- Robert Mathis
22. Cowboys- WR Limas Sweed UT- The Cowboys are going to aquire CB/PR Pacman Jones anyday now. This gives the Cowboys a lot of flexibilty with their two first round picks. The Cowboys must develope a Star WR to take TO's place once his career is over. I assume that Jerry Jones will extend TO for at least two more seasons. With Pacman the Cowboys will look to move Anthony Henry to FS and Ken Hamlin to SS. Roy Williams, BYE BYE CHUMP! Sweed has speed, size, grasp of the game, he can catch, and block. NFL Comparison- Brandon Marshall
23. Steelers- CB Mike Jenkins- The Steelers are very thin at CB and FS. They need to get younger and more athletic in the secondary. Jenkins is a versitle playmaker that will make a good jump at the next level. He is a hard hitter than can play zone and man. The Steelers want to add attitude and play making ability to the secondary. NFL Comparison- CB Asante Samuel
24. Tennessee- WR Malcolm Kelly OU- The Titans have added some fire power to the offense but they still need some more. Kelly hasn't ran his 40 yet but I think he is a play maker. This will give VY another big target to hit. Kelly can run after the catch and is a great deep ball catcher. NFL Comparison- WR Roy Williams
25. Seattle- OG Brandon Albert UVA- The Seahawks added some scrubb RB's and are set to let go of Shaun Alexander. They got a great pickup in LG Mark Whale but the Right side still has a big hole. Albert is a huge space eater and a better athlete than he gets credit for. He will be a force on a good team. NFL Comparison- OG Derrick Dockery
26. Jacksonville- DE Lawrence Jackson USC- The Jags biggest need is at DE. They have no one that can really get to the QB from the edge without bringing some linebackers. I am not high on Jackson but at this point he is the best on the board. Jacksonville should look to aquire veteran DE Jason Taylor from Miami as should the Minnesota Vikings. NFL Comparison- Younger version of DE Trevor Pryce
27. Chargers- FS Kenny Phillips UM- The Chargers have had a weakness at Safety for the last 50,000 years. There are some other spots of concern but they have a huge need spot that will be filled. Phillips can hit as well as cover and make things happen. He isn't Ed Reed or Sean Taylor but he isn't far behind either. NFL Comparison- S Michael Huff
28. Cowboys- CB/FS Reggie Smith OU- The Cowboys should have Pacman before the weekend and will try to resign CB Terrence Newman, even though he is 30. They still need a guy that can play both Nickel and FS. I think that FS Ken Hamlin will move to his natural position at SS and Anthony Henry will move to FS. Henry is 33 and won't be around long. Smith can provide depth and be the eventual starter at FS. NFL Comparison- FS Darren Woodson (hopefully!)
29. 49ers- OT Sam Baker USC- The 49ers need a little help at WR but they still need another Tackle. Jonas Jennings isn't getting it done. Baker and Staley could provide a decent pass protection crew. Hopefully, both of these guys work out. NFL Comparison- poor mans version of LT D'Brick Ferguson
30. Packers- CB Aqib Talib Kansas- The Packers need depth and youth at CB. Talib is a gambler but that's how you make plays. He will do just fine when its his turn to take over. NFL Comparison- CB Aaron Ross
31. Giants- LB Jared Mayo Tenn.- The Giants have pass rushers......they could use another DT, but OLB is a big hole right now along with Safety. Mayo is big and fast. He is a big hitter and will add more speed to an already thin linebacker core. NFL Comparison- Al Wilson

Brooklyn Decker

Wow.... I love your pick for the Bills. I read a article that Don Banks wrote and it said that almost 75% of WR's drafted in the first end up being bust's. On the other hand, about 22% of DB's taken in the 1st are bust's.....
As a bills fan, Im willing to wait till the 2nd to get a WR

This isnt John Madden football....you got Dallas just flat out moving Henry to saftey b/c PacMan is there.
Henry is going no where but staying at CB....if anything, he might get cut if PacMan pans out well for the team b/c Dallas will be in need of player cuts and contracts to be restructured.
Dallas will snag a CB and RB in round 1, regardless of the Pac Man deal.
Dont forget, even if Pac comes, that gives Dallas 3 CB's on the roster, they will need to draft a few.

JeffHart24,
Weren't the Dallas Cowboys going to move Anthony Henry to FS last year in training camp??? The answer is YES. Why wouldn't they move him? In this draft it makes complete sense to get a guy that can do both. The Cowboys will draft another CB in the 3rd round along with a RB in the 2nd round. Who do you propose to be the first round running back? Felix Jones? He is going to be a huge bust. Marion Barber runs a 4.49, Felix Jones-4.47........He played in a Gimic Offense. Do you really think that he can line up in I Formation and pound it between the tackles. It's going to be worse than Julius Jones running the ball.
You can get a starting caliber running back in the 2nd or 3rd round. Why not take Steve Slaton in the 4th round. He is fast and he can catch. He would be a great backup to Barber............. All I did is the first round moron. I didn't go on the entire needs of the Dallas Cowboys.
If Pacman came, that would make 4 CB's..........Alan Ball from Illinios is also on the roster. He plays special teams. Just so you know.

If mcfadden were to fall all the way to 12 there's now way the cowboys wouldn't move down and get him ecspecially if they get pac man.

Wouldn't mind seeing the boys taking Danny Amendola from Texas Tech in the later rounds. Good dump off reciever. Maybe a future Wes Welker? Hopefully...

Nice touch with the NFL comparisons...I can't see Chris Long falling to Jets at 6. Someone would def. jump up to get him. McFadden at 12? This mcok draft is radically different from all that I have viewed.
