18 Number of months (18) Mike Kyle was suspended after his aforementioned May 2006 bout. In what can only be described as inexplicable. During that fight at WEC 20 in California, Kyle was DQ'd for kicking Brian Olsen in the face illegally. The referee jumped in to stop the prohibited attack, but Kyle was having none of it and kept at it as the official struggled to pull him off Olsen. Here is where it gets even stranger. The fight was at an Indian Casino where the state of California was unable to regulate it. However, because of the severity of the assault they still went ahead and suspended Kyle for the 18 months. Now in his return he'll square off with Wayne Cole and he landed on the televised card. Not bad coming off suspension!

17 Difference in number of wins (17) between Nick Diaz at 15-7 and Drew Fickett, 32-5. Diaz became the latest casualty of this Saturday's Shamrock vs. Le card when the California State Athletic Commission removed him apparently because he is a member of the Cannabis Club. He was scheduled to fight the tough Korean Jae Suk Lim and will be replaced by Drew Fickett. Fickett was suddenly left without an opponent when Jake Shields dropped out due to a recent back injury. Dude, this is like a soap opera, as the Cage turns, so do the fighters of our lives. Yes, it is embarrassing to know a soap opera intro. By looking at the records some might conclude that Lim is getting a raw deal in having to fight Fickett instead of Diaz. Not so fast, a little over three years ago at UFC 51 Diaz TKO'd Fickett at 4:40 of round one. Fickett's only TKO loss!
