Jose Canseco is at it again.  This time its A-Rod and Magglio.  And the title of the book is Vindicated.  Funny name.  The defination of Vindicated is absolved: freed from any question of guilt.  Lets really look at this.  Canseco, an admitted steroid user is using the name of Vindicated for his second book.  I can understand the absolved part of the definition, but how is he free of any question of guilt?  Canseco is a bottom feeder now.  Scraping off of major leaguers for their money and fame.  In his first book, although shameful, he did the right thing.  Now he is using that success to hash out unresolved jealosy issues and to get back at someone for not funding a movie project for him.  On Dateline tonight Jose will be asked why he has shown no proof on Alex Rodriguez cheating.  His response is that it is coming.  Even if it doesn't, Jose will make millions on his second book, A-Rod's career will forever be in question, and as far as we know A-Rod didn't even get to sleep with his ex-wife Jessica.  (Always look for the silver lining.  I know it was a joke in bad taste.)

Tiger Woods is under fire lately for an outburst at a camera man.  His response was classic.  I can't quote it verbadum but it was something like these words are said a lot on the course.  Uh huh.  Tiger just because you are the size of a NFL Defensive Back doesn't mean you are on the football field.  This is golf.  Where 122 men walk around, some of them smoking, hitting a ball off a tee on a beautiful course on the nicest resorts in the world.  Its ok to get mad bro, just don't threaten the camera man.

The San Francisco 49ers got caught.  I don't know how but they did.  Tampering in football happens all the time.  Why else do free agents sign multi-million dollar deals at 12:01 the day free agency begins.  Oh that's right, every team keeps hundreds of contracts ready for each player in the NFL just in case they are the lucky team to reach them the first 30 seconds of free agency. I hear about people around the league complaining that it was a stiff punishment for a couple of phone calls.  What they should be saying is that how did these idiots mess up that bad.  Don't call from the complex or from anyone's cell phone that is an employee.  You might as well go to jail and admit guilt on your one free phone call.

I was completely wrong about the Boston Celtics.  They are scary good.  They don't look the least bit tired and they dismantled the Pheonix Suns last night.  That was a statement game.  My buddy was over and he is a die hard Boston fan.  When Ray Allen hit a 3 with 45 seconds to play to put them up by 20 I asked him why they gotta run up the score.  He said because in Boston you play till the final horn.   Old willy Bill rubbed off on the basketball team now too.

That about covers my rant for today.  Until next time.
