Its been awhile since I really let go with some of the wild things I think. I know I just got my rant out of my system but I don't think I was done. So drumroll please. Seriously if you are not banging your fingers on your computer desk or nightstand the effect will be lost.
10. I think its been too long since an athlete did something stupid. We are long overdue. I would put money on it being Pacman Jones getting arrested again but if Vegas was about sure money they wouldn't have Pyramids on the strip.
9. The Olympics in Beijing are going to turn into the World against China. The Chinese kill dogs, have awful civil rights, and are a government that has been in power for thousands of years. Boycotting the opening ceremonies isn't going to change any of that. The Olympics should never be used for political gain. Shame on you world for ruining our sports.....
8. If the presidential race was decided by a game of horse Barack Obama would be a shoo in. Instead we have to listen to a bunch of lies and false promises that interupt news coverage of the NCAA Tournament and take our attention away from things that really matter. Barack your shot from the top of the key.
7. My son, who is all of 5, said the word esquisite in a sentance yesterday. I have ruled out playing any professional sports for him and instead am now aiming for Harvard. Its kind of disappointing to find out your son is using words you are not sure if you can spell.
6. The Dolphins wouldn't be all that crazy to trade that number 1 overall pick. Is there really a sure-fire can't miss guy anymore? Is Matt Ryan that good of a quarterback that you tie up that kind of money for when you can probably still get Chad Henne or Brian Brohm with the first pick of the second round? A lot of teams really value McFadden. Let the Cowboys have him for the 21st and 28th pick. You may even squeeze a third round out of them.
5. Micheal Beasley needs to go pro. Yes college is important for the average american. A well earned degree is invaluable in getting a job and starting a career. Then there is this. $100 million. That is what the average number 1 overall pick is worth. Are you really still thinking about this Mike?
4. MVP of the NBA this year is Lebron James. Make cases for everyone else you want. Where would the Cavs be without LBJ? Take Garnett off the Celtics I think Allen and Pierce still get them to the playoffs. The only other case that could potentially be made is for Kobe and well that wasn't my thought was it.
3. The Yanks just didn't spend enough money this year. Yes I really said that. They have no sure bets with their pitching staff, they are going to have to outscore everyone. Someone quick name all 5 and give me the wins you would gaurantee for them. Take into account that their will be slumps in that awesome Yankee line-up. And people do get hurt. I mean shut out or 1 run type efforts. You are on the clock.
2. I really hope the Timberwolves get the number 1 pick in this years draft. But they won't. They will end up picking between 8-12 because those ping-pong balls just don't seem to fall right. Maybe I should have watched the McDonalds All American game and got ready for next year.
1. I miss the NFL. Some thoughts on that...We will see a Manning vs Manning Super Bowl sometime in the near future. If Eli keeps improving the way he is and the Colts can keep their receivers healthy you might see it next year. I really can't wait for football to start. Nothing like a good beating like the Giants gave Brady on Super Sunday to keep you amped until the next year. Tavarious Jackson I hope you are working this offseason because your career is on the line.

What has boycotting the Olympics ever done? Nothing. Look when we did it when it was held in the Soviet Union and then the Russians boycoted the LA Olympics.

On #6: if Parcells DOESN'T take Chris Long with the first pick, he's a bigger fool than I give him credit for. (Listen, I don't care Chris went to UVA...alright, I do care...)
