Dear Fans,
I was excited to finally get to see a Braves game this season. The Braves used an assortment of relief pitchers to begin the game. Peter Moylan got off to a bad start by allowing 3 runs in the first inning. He had only given up one run so far this spring in 8 innings. I like Moylan and his winning attitude. He's allowed to have one bad inning. Chris Resop and Royce Ring looked really good also. Charlie Morton however looked horrible. He couldnt keep the ball down. He walked a runner in also. Yikes. A few others pitched late in the game. They didnt have names on their backs and the ESPN announcers were often talking about other things during the game.
The starters all came out after 3 innings. Johnson, Escobar, Chipper, Teixeira, Frenchy, and Diaz. McCann stayed in the game awhile longer as the DH, and Corkey Miller was in for 6, then replaced by Brayan Pena.
Scott Thorman looked TERRIBLE. That's all I have to say about that.
Frenchy, Glavine and Bobby Cox all gave interviews. A funny moment happened when Frenchy talked about how him and McCann always tease Smoltz and Glavine by reminding them that THEY watched those two pitched when they were growing up....and that (Glavine) could be their dad.
On Dan Patricks radio show the other day, he interviewed John Smoltz and he asked John: "Are you a better pitcher than Tom Glavine?" Smoltz responded "Yes, from the right side" funny stuff.
Back to the game... The Mets pounded out hit after hit after hit, scoring early and often and we lost.
Ok so I'm really looking forward to the season. I have Directv's baseball package all set up, and ready for some Baseball.
Next up, the Braves travel back home to Turner Field to take on Cleveland, tomorrow night 7:10EST.
GO BRAVES.
Have a good one.

It should be a good race in the NL East.

The West should be good also with Colorado and Arizona fighting with LA. I live in San Francisco.....I can't believe all the hostility that goes on between the Giants and the Dodgers. Dodger fans who come to SF...you see fights, its crazy.
