Here are some facts about Steve Javie.

He once threw out the Bullets' mascot. And he once ejected the Trail Blazers' announcer. Throwing out Derek Fisher was worse.

Derek Fisher was innocent.  If anybody should have been thrown out, it should have been Manu Ginobili.

Just like that, Steve Javie stole the Jazz's season. This should be unpardonable sin. He should be fired.

Don't believe Steve Javie would be biased? Well, here's a fact that will change your mind in a hurry:

From HoopsHype.com 3/1/2003:

"On Wednesday, ESPN reported that referees Steve Javie and Derrick Stafford received sanctions from the NBA for recent activities in their respective games. Javie -- fined $1,000 for an incident that occurred last season -- was reported as saying to Miami Heat coach Pat Riley, “It‘s giving us absolute delight to watch you and your team die.” Riley, who complained about Javie in December, was fined $50,000 for his verbal abuse of league
officials. But up until Wednesday, Javie received no punishment for his comments. ... By no means are all referees like this. Many ... do a fine job. They make good calls, listen to players’ arguments, and don’t hold grudges. But there are enough in the league to make players and coaches alike suspicious. And until guys like Javie and Stafford are replaced by robots, there always will be."

His bias definitely showed Monday night.

David Stern, fire Steve Javie.

It's like I've said before, Sledgehammer, when the NBA's ratings for the Finals plummet here in the Finals, they have nobody to blame but themselves. Perhaps Popovich has some porn of Stern and is threatening to reveal it to the media if he ever lets the Spurs down. That has to be it, the Spurs are not the sexiest team in NBA history, so this explains why they're so "successful."

That's a great theory ... and probably true. Another Pistons-Spurs finals. Wow. How riveting!
