In my honest opinion...

Were those the Yankees?  I'm sorry Yankee fans.  Yes I'm a Blue Jays fan, but I'm also a defender of the Yankees, especially when it comes to a hate of the Red Sox.  But really.  It wasn't the best showing tonight.  Dustin McGowan pitched a hell of a game... but I think the Yanks line-up just wasn't hitting.  We could have put any pitcher out there tonight from the roster and won the game.  I'll give McGowan some credit if he can duplicate the outing in his next start.

I'm suprised that Torre gaffed  on the call to walk Wells.  He must have not had the proper statistice for Glaus handy in the dugout.  The Big Hurt still intimidates pitchers with his walk soon after.

Overall the Jays are so far better without Halladay which is pleasantly suprising.  It'll be nice when Doc gets back.  Especially if the rest of the rotation stays in form.  If only the bats could show up each and every game.  The Twins series saw intermittent hitting with more great preformances from the starting line up and bullpen.

A game behind the O's isn't satisfying at all.  Kind of worrying.  But the O's cant hold their form as they've demonstrated in past years.  My only hope is that the divsion will finish:

1. Blue Jays

2. Yankees

OR

1. Yankees

2. Blue Jays

AL East unite versus the Bosox. Making the playoffs would be nice.  If we don't I won't be happy unless the Sox fail to make it as well.  I'm kind of hoping Manny will start to be Manny again and request a trade.

Anyways, way to get off track.  Marcum vs. Pettite.  Should be a dandy.  The bats better wake up because Pettite has been killer this season.  It's really going to hurt when The Rocket comes back.  Clemens never has a bad comeback season.

Dude i'm a diehard Jays fan too, but gotta disagree with ya. Since I'm from VT, I would much rather see the Sox do good than the spankees. That being said, as long as the Jays keep it up who cares>? The win over Pettite was sick, with Aaron Hill stealing home, but we really need v-dubs and Thomas to step it up. Hopefully we can get the sweep tommorow, in the battle of the youngins, Litsch vs. Ty-Ty. Good to see another Jays fan out there. Word.
