After nailing the Sweet 16 games and picking all 8 winners correctly, it's time to pick the Final Four. Let's start with tonight's games between #3 Xavier vs. #1 UCLA in the West Regional and #3 Louisville vs. #1 North Carolina in the East Regional. I'll admit it, being from Ohio, I am rooting for Xavier. I have liked this team for years, back to when Thad Matta was their coach and before, and I love the way Sean Miller has them playing. UCLA is star-studded and there's no doubt the media will start another Kevin Love-fest as they build him into the best college basketball player ever to play, but I can't get past how cool Xavier is under pressure. I see Xavier advancing to become the first non-power conference member of the Final Four since George Mason just two years ago.
Louisville vs. North Carolina is a tough call. As I sit here and watch the same tow teams battle in the Women's NCAA Tournament, I think that the Tar Heels are just too powerful and too good. I see this one being fairly close throughout with UNC pulling away for a fairly comfortable 8-12 point win.
I'll try to get my other Final Four picks up ASAP, but for now I'm going to watch the Women's Tournament and some Arena Football.
