In response to:
Jones rules out drafting McFadden
Jerry Jones has ruled out making a trade that would position the Cowboys to select Arkansas running back Darren McFadden with one of the first five picks in the draft, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Going for McFather would have been the dumbest move ever. I really thought he was going to do it for a bit there. It was just SOOO painfully obvious that this wasn't the move to make so I am glad that he has put his foot down. The Boys have more presing needs and can def. get a decent RB in the 2nd or 3rd.

You're right, Jones isn't dumb, but he has been known to take risks with certain players. He's already going after one "problem child" in Pacman Jones and I hear McFadden has had some sort of trouble off the field also.

He does have his moments with troubled players, but you figure he should have learned his lesson after Demetrius Underwood and Alonzo Spellman both didn't pan out. He needs to stay away from Pacman.

I commend Jerry for making a wise choice here. We don't need McFaddin. He is way over rated and not worth selling the farm to trade up for. Even if he falls to no. 22, I would still consider taking Chris Johnson who runs a 4.24 forty and is more inept to taking on a back up role as a third down back and is also an outstanding special teams player who get's great separation, runs over people, around people, through people and can catch. Something finesce back MAC cannot do.

I cant believe you just said Chris Johnson is better than D-Mac.
Theres a reason Johnson played at ECU or whatever. And there's a reason D-Mac ran for 300 yards in a SEC game, and was a Heismann contender. CUZ HE'S BETTER...DUHHHH
and your commentary just shows you have no football knowledge. Chris Johnson doesnt "run over" ANYONE. All he has is speed. If he can run a 4.24 and "run over" and "around" people like you say, WHY DIDNT HE PLAY AT USC, TEXAS, OR WHEREVER... ECU MY MAN...ECU!!!

I don't think anyone is questioning D-Mac's ability, he is obviously head and shoulders above all other RB's in the draft, the issue here is his character. I'm sure Jerry is still feeling the sting of not drafting Randy Moss back in the day because of character concerns, but when you draft a player you also draft his baggage.
I guess time will tell if he straightens out and becomes a player like Moss but there is always the likelihood of him becoming the next Cecil Collins is a little higher than average. But then again that could be said of any player in the draft. Time will tell.

I am not a Dallas fan, but what you people forget is Mr. Jones is the owner and you aren't going to like everything he does, If I were him I would go after P-Jones , M. Vick or whoever else I throught would help my team. You have to realize everybody isn't perfect, what if no one wanted to give you a chance to be a better person how would you feel? We all screw up some more than other but everybody can change. To forgive is Godly. I am sure Mr. Jones would have some sort of way of protecting his investment in these individuals if he signed them.

Truer words never spoken. Well put mawatts1. However I will have to disagree about the Pacman Jones thing. This guy has been given too many chances. He tells the commish he won't step foot in a strip club again and sure enough there he was getting in trouble. What upsets me about him is also the fact that he hasn't straight up said he won't go back. He just said he won't be back to a strip club "for 3 or 4 years". In others words he just can't seem to see the error of his ways and he is basically letting everyone know that he doesn't think he did anything wrong.
