Talk about an exciting night! Many are calling the main event a fight of the year candidate...so let's jump right in....

326 Number of attendees 16,(326) at the March 29th event in San Jose, California. The place was packed and rocking, especially when the two hometown boys, Shamrock and Le got after it.

3 Number of rounds (3) the middleweight title fight between Frank Shamrock and Cung Le lasted. It was scheduled for five but ended because...

2 The number of Shamrock family members (2) who headed to the hospital on the evening. Previously we reported that Shamrock said he wanted to finish the fight fast because his wife was pregnant. Well...she went into labor! Frank also headed to the hospital because...

1 The number of broken arms (1) Frank Shamrock suffered in the fight. Toward the end of round three he blocked a roundhouse to the head with his right arm, but the kick damaged his arm badly. Shamrock staggered back to his corner between rounds but was unable to continue. Afterward he headed to the hospital to get his arm fixed and the birth of his child!

30 Number of seconds (30) into the second round Cung Le came inches away from ending the fight. Shamrock told us all he was going to try out his striking, none of us believed him, including Le, but sure enough Shamrock stood toe to toe and almost paid for it at 0:30 of round two when Le grazed him with a roundhouse that dislodged his mouthpiece.

60 Record (6-0) of Cung Le after winning the Strikeforce middleweight belt. It wasn't easy for Le, afterward he was bleeding and said, "He caught me with a few hard punches and rocked me a few times." Not enough though to keep Le from taking the belt and now Le will be featured on NBC during Strikeforce's premiere on April 12. Not a bad couple weeks for the man.

718 Number of minutes (7:18) the Strikeforce lightweight title fight between Gilbert Melendez and Gabe Lemley lasted. This was longer than many thought it would last as 13-1 Melendez was a heavy favorite over late replacement and 11-6 Lemley. Melendez did manage the victory and in dominating fashion, but Lemley hung tough until the 2:18 mark of round two when referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the fight.
