Please go easy on me, because I'm not a Hockey fan, nor do I follow it in anyway.  I can't tell you who plays on any team or what the positions are.  I could point out the goalie, only if he were standing in his position with all his gear on.  I don't know who are the big stars or little ones.  However, it was mentioned to me that I left out Hockey in my last blog "around the leagues".

Some of this may be old news or it may be new news.  So here is some  of the latest NHL news;

Patrick Roy bought the Quebec junior franchise, the Remparts upon his retirement.  I guess this past weekend his team was losing and a brawl ensued.  Father and son took leading roles in the brawl.  Jonathan Roy is a backup goalie, that apparently didn't get drafted by the NHL.  The younger Roy got into another fight on his way out of the game and flashed his middle finger (means the same in French).  I'm going out on a limb, but is it "like father, like son?"

The Boston Bruins downed the Ottowa Senators 4-0 in Boston. With one week left in the regular season the Bruins are playing like they deserve a berth in the playoffs. I believe they might get the 8th spot.

Marc Crawford, former Canucks coach has been name in a lawsuit over Todd Bertuzzi's attact on Steve Moore.  Bertuzzi sought to have Crawford included, saying his NHL contract compelled him to take orders from his coach.  I'm certainly not buying that. Could he be any more lame, does he not have a mind of his own?

The Carolina Hurricanes signed their 2007 1st round draft pick Brandon Sutter to a 3 yr contract.  Sutter is the son of the a former NHL player and current coach of the Devils, Brent Sutter.
