Summer is a wonderful time of year. There's no school, blue skies, brats to be grilled, baseball to played, beers to be drunk. Yep, summer is great. Unless, of course, you're a college sports fan. If that's the case, summer can be a long and boring three months.

That's where we stand now. Sure, the MLB season is in full swing, the NHL Stanley Cup finals are under way, and the NBA is in the middle of its playoffs... but it's just not the same as cheering on your favorite college team. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about this dilema. The baseball team wrapped up its season over the weekend with a 17-2 blowout loss to Creighton, meaning the 2006-07 season is offically over for all Bradley athletic teams.

So what is there to talk about? Well, not a whole lot really. There's still no word on the new assistant men's basketball coach. There's no news on anything really. There aren't even any major events coming up, unless you count the Alumni game on June 3 or the Braves Club golf outing on June 4.

It's just a long and empty summer with no Braves action to cheer on...
