NCAA Basketball:

The Elite 8 finsihed up today, with two regional finals, Davison vs. Kansas and Texas vs. Memphis. In the South region, Memphis defeated Texas 85-67. Chris Douglas Roberts lead the Tigers with 25 points and AJ Abrams lead Texas with 17. This will be Memphis' first trip to the Final Four in this 3 year run of Elite 8s.

In the Midwest, Kansas defeated 10-seed Davidson 59-57. A 6 point Kansas lead with about 1 minute left evaporated, but a Jason Richards 25 footer at the buzzer went astray, ending the Wildcats Cinerella run. These wins set up the first Final Four of all 1 seeds in NCAA history. The Final 4 will be North Carolina vs. Kansas and UCLA vs. Memphis, starting next week.

NBA:

NBA finals, as of now:

San Antonio 109, houston 88.

Minnesota 110, Utah 102.

Atlanta 11, New York 109.

Boston 88, Miami 62.

Cleveland 91, Philadelphia 88.

New Orleans 118,Toronto 111.

MLB:

Washington 3, Atlanta 2. Ryan Zimmerman's walk-off HR sealed it for the Nats in MLB's United States opener.

News: Orioles release OF jay Gibbons after 7 seasons with the team.

NASCAR:

Hamlin wins NSCS at Martinsville for first win of the season. Top 5 finishers: Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon, Jeff Burton, Jimmy Johnson, Tony Stewart.
