Frozen Four vs. Final Four

Okay, I know that college basketball, specifically March Madness, is much more popular than college hockey, what with it's weird divisions/conferences and all. My question though, is why would they schedule the college hockey playoffs like this? It's two weeks until the Frozen Four/Championship weekend. They have two consecutive weekends of playoffs then have to wait two weeks to play again. Talk about a momentum killer. People would think that would be ridiculous if they did that between Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight weekend and Final Four/Finals weekend. Nobody cares about hockey though. Here's what you do: Move up the start of the hockey playoffs instead of waiting a week after the end of the regular season. Don't skip a week between elite eight and the Frozen Four. That puts the hockey final one week before the basketball final. Or...easier still...instead of playing the hockey games on Thursday April 10th and Saturday the 12th, move them up to Friday April 4th and Sunday the 6th. That would be the greatest sports weekend of my year. Granted I have to work all weekend, but I am starting to feel a nasty stomach flu coming on. Chuck Norris smells what the Rock is cooking... because the Rock is Chuck Norris' personal chef.

The Frozen Four used to be the same weekend as basketball. It changes some years ago so it wouldn't have to compete with the final four, which sucks, like you said to have a two week layoff. I agree a change is needed.
