In response to:
Leinart's partying worries Cards
Matt Leinart's off-the-field activities have been a concern for the Cardinals, who selected him with the 10th overall pick in the 2006 draft.

What the hell has gotten into people these days when an NFL quarterback can't enjoy his friggin life?  Let's face it, the kid is young and rich and I think there is nothing wrong with what he did.  Now if he were to make it a habit of making a drunken fool of himself in public then yeah, that's when the Cards and the league should come done hard on him.  It seems like the actions of a few have made the rest of the league players suffer as a result of being under a microscope.

Same with Tony Romo, the guy catches hell for doing anything but studying his playbook. NFL players have their flaws, some bigger than others, but let's keep it all in context.  Should the Cards be happy that their guy was exposed as being a beer bonger?  Nope.  In fact they should have a convo with him about it, but to say that they are "worried" about it and for any of the peanut gallery to think that what he did was a sin?  Not right.

TRUE. Why should this even be news?!?! They should have pulled him aside and talked with him and just announced to the media that it was handled internally.

I agree with you one hundred and ten percent. This is not a news story. The guy was partying in his own house, and honestly if I had his money I would be trying to bag any girl I can get my hands on too.

My goal in life would be to break Wilt's record if I was a single, rich, professional athlete.

Actually I think it was the media that blew it out of hand as opposed to the team. Either way it really is silly to report about it unless of course it becomes a recurring problem. He learned his lesson the unnecessary hard way.

He can party all he wants...... After he wins. He has not accomplished jack at this time in his pro career. Last year the first play of the regular season he throws a pick, then against the Rams he was so hungover he couldn't see that blitz coming right at him. Kurt Warner is a great man, but we can not rely on him forever.

This AZ fan is tired of this nonsense. What kind of a 2nd year QB can't run a no huddle offense? Grow up Lineart! Or else all the great talent around you will lose all respect for you and Whiz will be forced to trade you for a 6th round pick.

Props to the true hardcore Cardinals: Edge, Boldin, Warner, etc. This Defense would have been in the top 5 last season if the injuries didn't occur.

I think this is overblown. It's a notable story if the Cardinals are doing their voluntary workouts, but this was probably not before a practice anyways.

Let's say this was Matt Cassell. Would they have made such a big deal? No, even though they have the same job.
