Tony Graziani is the best qb arena football has ever seen but it hasn’t always been that way.

Born in Las Vegas Nevada, his parents knew he was something special and they later moved to Modesto California.

Graziani attended Thomas Downey High School in Modesto, California. As a senior quarterback, he passed for 3,956 yards and 35 touchdowns, which landed him a four-year letterman to the University of Oregon. In Tony’s four-year career at Oregon he completed 362 passes, 4498 yards, and 25 touchdowns, not to bad for a guy out of Modesto California. Tony even beat USC at the Coliseum and even led his team to the Rose Bowl, two things that are rarely seen by Oregon today.

Anyway after the 1997 season Graziani decided to go pro, where the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the draft selected him. During his three years in the NFL Tony threw for 999 yards, 2 touchdowns and 8 picks, which landed him out of the NFL.

Graziani next moved to the AFL and was signed by the Los Angles Avengers prior to the 2001 season. That year he completed 23 passes and threw for 262 yards with seven touchdowns and only one pick but got injured early in the season and didn’t play another game that season. One year later he was their starter and threw for 3,568 yards, 67 touchdowns and only nine interceptions, and best of all he lead them to their first playoff birth in franchise history. For the next two years he was one of the best qb’s arena football had to offer leading L.A. to the playoffs and putting up phenomenal numbers. But after the 04 seasons he decided he decided to sign with the Soul. During his 05 campaigns he arguably had his best season ever, throwing for 4262 yards, 90 touchdowns, and even running for another two more. He even threw eight td passes in three games and was named the Soul’s most valuable player. The 06 seasons was a big disappointment for Tony, he only played twelve games, due to a torn hamstring, and a torn finger. To make it even worse he only had 2,989 yards with 11 ints, but he got the Soul their first playoff win in franchise history. Then last year he had a decent season but missed the playoffs due to the Souls 8-8 record.

In all Graziani is a great qb, which can lead even the worst team into the playoffs. If he wanted to he could become another Kurt Warner but I like him right where he is.
