Knicks after the season is over

As the regular season winds down, it seems like the Knicks will be picking in this years draft somewhere between 1 and 5.  Now if that is the case, I hear alot of clamoring for Derick Rose or Jeryd Bayless, maybe Mike Beasley if they get that lucky.  The problem is this. At PG right now, the Knicks have Stephon Marbury, Nate Robinson, Marty Collins, and even Fred Jones.  That is 4 PG type players on a team that will be selecting a 5th. While filling half of a roster with point guards may not be smart, I completely agree with getting Derrick Rose if he is available, for two reasons.  Look at what Chris Paul has done in New Orleans, and Daron Williams in Utah.

I hope that the Knicks will be able to pick up Derrick Rose who will be able to learn behind Stephon, until Marbury's contract expires next year. Now if they are able to acquire him second in the draft, I'd look at trying to trade Nate Robinson and or Renaldo Balkman for another first round pick in the 12-20 range. With this pick they could pick up a second rookie, and get a legitimate center.  My order would be Hasheem Thabeet, Roy Hibbert, and then Robbin Lopez.  This team is a Shot blocker and a distributer away from being special.  Throw in a good coach, and the Knicks may have a more balanced team, and a better chance at success.

After watching Thabeet against San Diego, I want him no where near the NBA. For 7-3 he is SOFT!!!

Hibbert is slow and Lopez is overrated. I understand that the Knicks have too many guards but none of them are Bayless or Rose. Especially Rose.

I kind of like DeAndre Jordan and Hardin from Cal. Those two would be adequate centers for the Knicks.
