This is your MLB week in review:

The ups and downs of this week:

 

I will start with the ups:

1. Baltimore and Tampa are on top of the AL East

2. Kosuke Fukodome hit a HR in his first major league game to tie the game in the 9th inning for the Cubs, but the Cubs lost.

3. White Sox and ROYALS are tied for the AL Central lead

4. The Braves and Marlins are tied for the NL East lead

5. The Rangers are a .5 gm out of 1rst in the AL West

6. Joe Torre and the Dodgers are tied for  the NL West lead

7. The Cardinals are tied for the NL Central lead

8. Livan Hernandez playing for the Twins is 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA

9. Gabe Kapler, who plays for the Brew Crew, has 2 HR. (he was managing A- ball last year)

10. Mariano Rivera has 3 SV this year, which it took him until May 3 to do this last year.

 

The downs:

1. The TIGERS HAVE NOT WON A GAME (0-6)

2. The Mets are 2-3 and tied for LAST PLACE in the NL East

3. The Yanks and defending World Champion RED SOX are the two worst teams in the AL East (Sox in last)

4. Eric Gagne started off the season the way he ended last season blowing a save and pitching crappy for the Brew Crew.

5. The Rockies also in the WS last year are tied for LAST in the NL West

6. Trevor Hoffman has an 0-2 record with a 12.27 ERA

7. Josh Beckett in his first start back is 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA

8. C.C. Sabathia is 0-1 with a 7.59 ERA

9. Matt Holiday, David Ortiz, Miguel Cabrera, Alfonso Soriano, Robinson Cano, Carl Crawford, Mark Texaria, and Troy Tulowiski all are among the many player batting under .200

10. Jeff Francis is 0-1 with a 7.11 ERA and gave up 12 H in his only start this season.

My Yanks haven't had the greatest first week. Took Two out of the Three from the Jays but Lost two out of four against the D-Rays. Including a 13-3 Shillacking on Thursday and lost to the brewers tonight 5-2 and Jeter is on the dl
