My picks for the playoffs are as follows..., will check in July for results!
Montreal vs. Boston - Montreal manhandled the B's during the regular season, going 8-0 against their Original Six rival and..., barring a total collapse by the #1 seed in the East, it'll be 12-1 (giving the B's a home win in game #3 to keep it interesting!
Montreal in 5
Pittsburgh vs Ottawa - rematch from last year when the Pens made the playoffs and Ottawa went to the finals..., not this year. Malkin, Hossa and Crosby (if healthy) will make the injury riddled Senators a victim in the first round. And with the goaltending situations on both sides, I'll take Fleury-Conklin-Sabourin over Emery-Gerber any day.
Pittsburgh in 7
Washington vs Philadelphia - I got a slight problem with this one..., I like both these teams! Washington's in the playoffs for the first time since 2003 and with 15 rookies on this team...? In Philadelphia, the problem is goaltending and I am not counting the Pens 'coughing it up' last night! Goaltending has been erratic in Philly since I don't know when and their offense is starting to come around a little. If Briere remains healthy, this is going seven games and, I got to go with my gut on this one.
Washington in 7
New Jersey vs Rangers - don't like either of these teams but, there's gotta be an upset at some point in the second season right.
NYR in 6
Detroit vs Nashville - experience kills..., Detroit's got a lot of it and if those Swedes up front come to play, this is no contest.
Detroit in 4
San Jose vs Calgary - I am personally watching this series..., just got to get Centre Ice going! Kipper versus Nabokov..., two ex teammates meeting in the playoffs, Nolan coming back to SJ to face his old team...? Dramatic huh? Joe and the Sharks oughta beat the Flames..., Nabokov's a serious Vezina contender and will do well..., at least this series.
San Jose in 7
Minnesota vs Colorado - Colorado added Salei, Forsberg and Foote at the deadline, Smyth before the year and they've been average at best. Theodore's well done at this point and I don't know what happened to Budaj but the offense is clicking. Minnesota..., trap team right? I like the boys in green but, hate the trap. And like in Detroit..., experience kills.
Colorado in 6
Anaheim vs Dallas - I took Anaheim to repeat this year and will stick to it..., Getzlaf and Perry are two of the best offensive players in the West and with that defense (Detroit's D is a very close 2nd), they should'nt really have an issue in Dallas. Question is..., is Richards healthy and will Turco show up? If not, it's going to be a short series..., entertaining but short.
Anaheim in 6
So..., those are my picks..., feel free to dismantle them and correct me if wrong. I went 78% last year so, I can be wrong at times! Thanks!

Eastern finals should be Montreal-Pittsburgh..., I don't think any other East team is as good as either of those. I was kinda pulling for the Sens but, they really tailed off lately and barely made the playoffs to begin with.
