Would any of you NBA fans out there want Kobe on your team, and if you would who would you give up?
I am sure that there are many teams that would want him on there team, but at what cost. There has been much talk of Chicago or New York but for who .Any player that you would have to give up to get him would make your team the LA Lakers just in another city. I believe that he is the premiere scorer in the NBA right now, and anyone would be lucky to get a high caliber of player such as himself.
I look at the leauge and I do not see very many deals that are possible to move Kobe, or for that matter who would the Lakers get in return. In my humble opinion I think that he is stuck in LA.
I could be wrong if you are out there and you want Kobe on your NBA team let me know who you would give up.

The Nets want to get rid of both Jason Kidd and Vince Carter. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Trade Kidd and VC to L.A for Kobe, and the Lakers' round 1 pick. This would be about even in salary cap value, and both teams would benefit. The Nets would have the the league's signature player, and could draft somebody to play big-man with him. The Lakers would get rid of the cancerous point-scorer, and they would still two marquee players to attract fans. And they could still groom Bynum, who could round out a pretty impressive Big 3 in about two to four years.

If I were the Bulls, I wouldn't trade anybody for him. You stand to lose 2-3 good-to-great players for 1 outstanding player. Your best bet is to trade away draft picks; but this isn't the NFL, and a 1st rounder in the NBA doesn't hold as much value (unless it's a top 5 pick.). I think the Bulls could afford to give up Ben Gordon and a couple of 1st round picks for Bryant. They are young enough to not need the later draft picks. Then again, you have to match salaries as well if a trade will send you over the cap. I don't know the Bulls financial situation for the next year, but I imagine that trading for Kobe could put them over. I think he's a difficult player to move, and you are right. Any team that trades for him will wind-up like the Lakers, with Kobe carrying the team.

For what the Bulls would have to give up to get Kobe, he's not worth it to me. Without taking the salary cap into consideration, I could see giving up Deng, or Gordon with the #9 draft pick, but in reality the Bulls would have to give up at least Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Wallace, and the #9 pick in the draft. Besides, the only thing the Bulls really need is a PF who can play with his back to the basket, not an upgrade at the SG or SF position.
Either way, could Kobe play under Scott Skiles? I doubt it, and really John Paxon is more in love with Scott Skiles than anybody on the Bulls roster.

I dont know if Kobe is even tradeable in todays market. I men he's the best player in the game with a huge contract that is almost impossible to trade. You COULD trade him for VC and JK but Vince wants to go somewhere where he can be the man, and if that trade happened JK would still be the man. Chigago has spent the better part of the post-jordon era rebuilding, now that they have a winner, i dont thik that they'll trade a combo of their young talent just for kobe. This is the only trade, if its going to happen, that i see making sense:
To The Lakers:
Amare Stoudemire
Boris Diaw
To the Suns
Kobe Bryant
Andrew Bynum
The Salaries match up, and from what iv'e read and heard the suns are consedering trading stoudemires big contract to free up room to resign marion and maybe have some cap space left to acquire a center. This gives the laker a star in return and a versatile player who can play all 5 spots on the floor. The suns get the best player in the game to team with nash and marion (WOW scary) and a blue chip center prospect in bynum.

You can have him. He is the Terrell Owens of the NBA. Just when you think he is starting to mature, he blows up your team chemistry. He said some of the "right things" this year, but his true character is on display again with this outburst.
