If The NBA Playoffs Started Today.....BEST EVER??????
Looking at the standings as of Wednesday 4/9......and by best NBA playoffs I mean Western Conference.

Looking at these match-ups it appears this will be the best first round in recent memory. Not only will it be great because all these teams were good but there was very little disparity. The only series that might not draw your attention would be the #1 hornets vs. #8 Nugguts, but after the Red Hot Golden State threw the Mavericks to the side last year, nothing is impossible. Plus, aren't you just a little interested in what Chris Paul and the newly achieving Hornets are capable of?
Next, we have the Spurs and the Mavericks. To be honest if the Mavericks stay hot like they are right now I do not know a team that would want to play them. The addition of kidd does not seem to be paying off but playoffs are different than the regular season, but i do not see how they could make a deep run this year. The Spurs defense will be just too tough and put too much pressure on Dirk to be the hero.
The Lakers and Suns I think will be the most fun series to watch. These games will have a numerous amount of NBA starpower and a lot of points to keep everyone happy. I think the Lakers are too deep for the Suns and the late surge of Suns seems due to the fact that Shaq is playing limited minutes or out of the game all together. Kobe and his cast will defintely be able to get this done.
Rewind from last year and we get it again..just earlier. The Rockets and Jazz should be a good matchup especially considering the history of good games/series these teams are compiling against each other. Too bad for the Rockets that even though they won over 20 games straight, the ones' you have to win are in the playoffs and once again they will not be able to get too far in the stacked Western Conference.
Whether you are a fan of one or ten teams, eastern or western conference, Tomatoe or Tomato, the Western Conference playoffs should be the best we have seen in a long time.

Well, yeah in the West. The East on the other hand seems to be pretty unintersting until the Celtics-Pistons Conference Finals.

Do you mean the was great, now always injured Shaq against probable MVP Kobe in the first round? The Suns just don't look as fast and as accurate with the 3's as they have in years past.
