His next stop came on The Ultimate Fighter Season 2 as a heavyweight. Rashad scored unanimous decisions over Tom Murphy during episode 5, Keith Jardine in the semi-finals, and then nipped Brad Imes by split decision in the televised Finale on November 5, 2005. The close victory earned Evans a contract with the UFC and he hasn't looked back, going 5-0-1 with three decision and two KO's. His lone "blemish" came against Tito Ortiz when they fought to a draw at UFC 73.
On this day four years ago Rashad Evans began his career with two wins, and as of today April 10, 2008 nobody has found a way to beat him. He will be tested mightily though when he climbs into the Octagon with Chuck Liddell at the O2 Arena in London in a little less than two months.
