Yesterday, Jordan Schafer, Atlanta Braves' top Double A prospect was suspended for 50 games. Now I'm all for punishments, but I'm sure Jordan is asking, why Me? I would have to agree. Currently there is no test for HGH, so how was he identified? Mike Teevan, MLB's manager of media relation, said, "we have non-analytic means of identifying players." what does that mean? I have so many questions and very few answers.
1) If MLB can determine any minor league player who uses HGH, why can't they use the same method on Major League players? They supposedly used the "non-analytic" evidence for Jason Grimsley, but isn't and admission the same as failed test? What more "evidence" do you need? Just more mind games.
2)Why are there still some different rules in place concerning "drug use". Jordan Schafer gets 50 game suspension and Mike Cameron (ML) gets 25 games. There needs to be some consistency when dealing out punishment.
3) Why wasn't Barry Bonds suspended when he "secretly" tested positive for amphetamines as Mike Cameron was this year?
4) Why are Mr. Selig and Mr. Fehr still in positions of authority? These 2 are the biggest "cheaters" of all time for allowing this problem to grow out of control, while they turned a blind eye and lined their pockets with riches.
5). Why, oh why does MLB move at a snails pace when it comes to getting anything done? Especially a drug agreement.

Marion Jones' teammates paid the price for her doping. The IOC had disqualified and stripped the medals from athletes who won with Jones. Now, was that so hard, Mr Selig, quit wasting our time and hand down suspension NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Report Offensive CommentThen I don't have a problem with it, Cass, but Jordan had said he was told not to talk about it by his lawyer. If he admitted it, what's the big deal about talking, and why are just minor leaguers being suspended, as you know a lot of Major leaguers admitted it too.
