Just a quick little note, RE: Orioles-Astros trade, or as I like to call it, "The Tejada Massacre"...
Astros: 3-7 = tied for worst Win% in NL (at time of post)
Orioles: 6-2 = tied for best Win% in AL (at time of post)
*Matt Albers (BAL): 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 6.1 IP, 0ER, 0HR, 0BB, 7K (in < 7 IP, mind you!)
*Luke Scott (BAL): 10 for 23 (.435 AVG), 3 Doubles, 1 HR, 2 R, 4 RBI, 16 TB, 5 BB, 4 SO, .536 OBP, .696 SLG (1.231 OPS)
Miguel Tejada (HOU): 10 for 37 (.270 AVG), 2 Doubles, 1 Triple, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 22 TB, 1 BB, 4 SO, .300 OBP, .595 SLG (.895 OPS)
Those lines make me sick to my stomach for some reason. Why does this always happen to the Astros? Our guys get better when they go away and the guy(s) we get for them get(s) worse? Maybe it's a little early to be judging anybody...but then, after 10 games of Carlos Lee-Houston Astro last April, we pretty much saw the Carlos we see now...
*Two of the three of our five players sent that made Baltimore's 25-man roster. Dennis Sarfate also made the team, but has pitched less than 5 innings.
