First of i do not hate the Celtics, but i beleive that they wont win a championship this year.  First of all they play in the east which is much weaker than the west, but that proves very little except they are not used to dealing with high levels of competition unlike in the west were we may have a 50 win team not making the post season.  Secondly They need a more experinced Point Guard, even tough Rajon Rando is talented he has not yet reached his potential and may have trouble with more experienced guardslike Chauncey Billups, Mike Bibby, and Daniel Gibson(he did torch defenses last year in the play offs and has more play off experience tha Rando).  Thirdly can they handle another teams big three has yet to be proven, I am not so sure they can defend the Lakers (Kobe, Gasol, Odom), The Spurs(Ginobli, Parker, Duncan), or Detroits fearsom 4(Billups, Hamilton, wallace, Prince).  Reason 4 at times they are inconsistent and it slides in the weak east but they will get burned playing play off teams even in the east, also I would like to see how they hold up against a team like the Pistons or Magic in a 7 game series.  And finnally I do not believe you can just mesh 3 star players all together in 1 season, that does go for the lakrers as well, too add on to my point I realize they made alot of upgrades on their bench but they still have not proven a thing unlike other major contendors such as the Lakers and Pistons so when it comes down to the wire I would rather have a fresh big three like Kobe, Odom, Gasol over a tired Garnett, peirce, Allen any day of the week.  However despite these reasons they still have an excellent shot at winning the tittle if they can get past the Lakers.......

Your ideas, (no offense) are someone ridiculous because many of them have already been proven. How can they stack up against big 3's in the west? I think they proved that this year as they are 24-6 against the West. Lets also look at the Top 3 in the West. First the Hornets. The Celtics are 1-1 agains NO, in the first game they lost by 7, but in the second game they won 112-92. #2 in the West is the Spurs, The Celtics are 2-0 against them this season winning them by a combined 10 points. As for the 3rd place Lakers the Celts are 2-0 against winning those games by a combined 32 points. Also, in terms of not having an experienced point guard your wrong there too. Rondo is good, but you have to remember that you also have Sam Cassell, who is an experienced PG with 2 NBA championships and is also an All-Star. And you dont think they can mesh 3 star players together in one season. Its practically the end of the regular season. I think the record and their respective stats speak for themselves. Last time I checked being 63-16 with evenly distributed points per game between teh 3 would resemble that worthy of being meshed together. Will the Celtics win the NBA Title, I'm not sure, but your 5 reasons aren't really good ones and don't support what you want to say.

Thank-you CJ, I couldn't have said it better.

I think the NBA Championship is going to a team from the West. I would love to see the Celtics win though.

Ok, I respect what you say, but it cannot be farther from incorrect. I honestly think people in the NBA should stop bashing Rajon Rondo WHEN THEY DONT EVEN WATCH HIM. The kid, has proven to be one of the BEST point guards in the NBA. He has played against the best and done very well. Second, Rondo is a mature player, and his attitude is unique to the NBA. NO PG thinks like him in the sense that he has a job to do, I am not the king of the world, and unselfishness, Next, believe me the Lakers are well macthed against the Celtics ture, but you can also say that the other way around! Paul Pierce is playing some of the best defense COMPARED TO THE WHOLE LEAUGE this season (ask the scouts). he will match up on Odom, Rondo is amongst the best in steals, and TO/Assist ratio. Ray Allen is probably the weak link, but even our weakest link can score on the offensive minded Kobe Bryant, and hold em to less than 40...maybe even 30. Kendrik Perkins is a beast....thats it, he is physical and NO ONE is pushing him around. Kevin garnett is Kevin Garnett,,,,Thats it too are you going to challenge his defense? There goes your man Pau Gasol. Now the Celtics have lost to one series (team to team) this year and that is against the Wizards so you shouldn't be talking about the Hornets, Lakers, Spurs, Pistons, Magic, talk about the Wizards. Like CJ said we are very good against western teams, poorly written reasons

First off I do watch Rando and I did not attack him all I said was he hasn't reached his potential and as for the rest of your comment I do respect your opinion but Celtic fans have to admit they play in a weaker division.
