There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle-ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call the 'Twilight Zone.
(Cue Twighlight zone music)
Meet the protagonist of tonight's story.....His name is Trent, and he hails from the Sunshine State of Florida. Little does Trent know, the small telegram he has recieved in the mail will send him on a journey into the vast dimensions of The Dark State we know as.......... The Twighlight zone.
Trent was on the highway driving fast enough to get him a ticket, but on this dark Colorado road, there were no police, no people at all, just Trent and his obscure thoughts about the telegram he had gotten from his friend Ghost-Hunter:
"Trent, this is Ghosthunter, meet me in Seattle, the Benacoch Hotel."
Trent knew that Ghosthunter investigated the paranormal, and only contacted him when he needed some assistence. But never had Ghosthunter sent him a telegram without a phone number to contact him at. Trent was afraid for his friend, the thing he feared most was the thought that something could be going horribly wrong at that Hotel, and he would have no idea about it.
Trent had finished his trip, and finally arrived in Seattle late Saturday night. He stopped and picked up a map of the city, and located the Benacoch Hotel. In the middle of a barren field, the Hotel loomed there, like a dagger through paper. This hotel skied through into the far reaches of the atmosphere.
Trent stopped in and located the clerk, "Hello there".
The clerk looked back, "What's your business here?"
Trent, "I'm here to meet a fiend of mine, he goes by the name of Ghosthunter."
The clerk tossed him the keys, "Up on the thirteenth floor."
Trent thought to himself, he always rented the Thirteenth Floor, a habit he had since he was a kid, playing roulette often betting on 13 to win. Trent walked up the rotten floorboards until he came across the small sign which read, "13".
Trent turned into the hallway, and found only one room in the entire hallway. He walked up to it, and gave it a firm knock. No answer, Trent prepared for the worst, as he turned the key to open it. He flung the door open and in horror saw.........
A giant mannequin of a cat standing in the center of the floor (LoveItHateIt).
The Mannequin stared blankfully as Trent came into the room, his heart beating heavy, afraid the lifelike cat would pounce on him at any second. Until he came to a closet, the door open, he walked inside of it, when he felt a heavy blow from behind his head. As his body fell, he caught a glimpse of the Cat pouncing on him.
Trent threw it aside and made for the door, he flew down the flight of stairs until he reached the clerk's desk, as he went to leave the hotel the clerk quoted an Eagles song saying, "You may check out anytime you'd like, but you may never leave..."
