By Matt Berliner

It's been 2 days since my last confession...uh...er..blog, because the weather here in San Francisco has been too nice to be inside.  If you've never been here, the Golden Gate Bridge area is the best place to spend a hot spring day, especially if you like bicycling, walking, running, or just to enjoy the sun and the people.

Georgia on my mind: So Tom Glavine's hamstring is sore.  If they have to put him on the DL for 15 days, it's not the end of the world.  He's no good to us hurt all year.  Put him on and let that be that.  The Braves tried to mount a comeback yesterday, and almost looked to have accomplished that, but the Nats outfielders had McCann played perfectly.  The rocket off his bat in the ninth, looked like it was going to sail over their heads.  The baseball gods were once again, not on our sides.

Not all is lost however.  Chipper hit a HR, and looks very comfortable at the plate....except for his sore left and right quads.  I'm not sure what he's suppose to do with those to get them back into shape.  Maybe the off day today will help.

We should know more about Mike Hampton on Tues or Wed.  He's available to come off the DL.  Were past the point of crossing our fingers on this one.  If he's not ready, they better call Jo Jo Reyes up.

How about Jorge Campillio.  He looked great the other day.  Pitched two scoreless innings and struck out 3 of the 6 batters he faced.  Very impressive.

Next up: Braves @ Marlins on Tuesday.  Jair Jurrjens will make the start.  Mike Hampton could get the start Wednesday or Thursday.  Don't cross your fingers anymore.

GO BRAVES!!

On the Braves postgame show, they talked about Capillio possibly moving into a starter role for Glavine's rotation spot.
What bothered me most about the game Sunday is that we walked in 2 runs and that proved to be the runs that beat us. I don't mind if we get beat by a better team that day. I just can't stand giving games away like that though.

I agree with you. I'd rather give up a bases clearing double or a grand slam than a bases loaded walk.
