Today we are all Virginia Tech Hokie fans. This day, April 16th, 2008, is the one-year anniversary of the on-campus shooting at Virginia Tech. One year ago, Cho Seung-Hui, a student that was known as being a loner and was always identified as "Question Mark" or "Question Mark Kid", had enough. He was upset and seemed to be mentally unstable. He was being treated and counseled after a pyschological evaluation and an order by a judge. This happened because he told his roomate about him thinking about killing himself.
So something had to have set him off. On April 16, 2007, Cho started and ended the deadliest shooting in modern history. He ended up killing 32 students and faculty members. Then he shot and killed himself.
The VT campus was in shock and sadness. Most of the 32 people killed were well-known and liked people. They shouldn't have died and it is sad they their life was cut short. The athletes at the school had emotional seasons this year; it was the first season since the shooting. Some guys were playing in memory of the people killed.
I think I have all of the information above correct, and I just wanted to make a blog about this. There were mentions about this throughout the day, and I think everyone should remember these people today.
