My NBA Awards go out too...

If I was a real NBA columist I would be voting in this order for the NBA awards.

 NBA 1st Team

G Chris Paul- Hornets

G Kobe Bryant- Lakers

F LeBron James- Cavaliers

F Kevin Garnett- Celtics

C Dwight Howard- Magic

NBA 2nd Team

G Deron Williams- Jazz

G Steve Nash- Suns

F Paul Pierce- Celtics

F Carlos Boozer- Jazz

C Amaré Stoudemire- Suns

NBA 3rd Team

G Allen Iverson- Nuggets

G Tracy McGrady- Rockets

F Antawn Jamison- Wizards

F Dirk Nowitzki- Mavericks

C Tim Duncan- Spurs

Rookie of the Year

1- Kevin Durrant- Sonics

2- Al Horford- Hawks

3- Luis Scola- Rockets

Durrant is the easy choice but the other rookies came on strong. Durrant is still scoring more on the sonics then his peers at 7.5 PPG more. Luis Scola should have a strong play in the playoffs. Al Horford has helped bring the Hawks back to respectibility with them being back in the Playoffs first time since 1999.

Coach of the Year

1- Byron Scott - Hornets

2- Doc Rivers- Celtics

3- Stan Van Gundy- Magic

Bryon Scott is my choice ahead of the second runner up being Doc Rivers. Doc has more talent around him in the Big 3. We all knew the Celtics would be good and it has to do with the Coach and KG, Ray Ray, and Pierce. Byron Scott changed the team and no one saw it coming, Paul could be an MVP candidate.

6th Man of the Year

1- Manu Ginobili- Spurs

2- Leandro Barbosa- Suns

3-Jordan Farmar- Lakers

We all knew it would be Manu Ginobili. He is having his best season and he really turned it on after the All Star break. Jordan Farmar is the darkhorse here. He is playing big minutes in LA behind Fisher. This team is the #1 team for a reason and Farmar adds to the depth of the team.

Most Improved Player

1-  Chris Paul- Hornets

2- Dwight Howard- Magic

3- Ronnie Brewer- Jazz

I think everyone will agree with the first 2. I have Brewer on here because he really stepped up with the absence of Derek Fisher this year. The Jazz tried to sign numerous SG's this off season to help with the depature of D Fish but couldnt land anyone. The Jazz got very lucky with the emergence of Ronnie Brewer, starting everygame this year he has played under the strucuted Jerry Sloan Offense machine. He was top 5 in steals for much of the season and brings a depth at the SG that the Jazz have never had.

Defensive Player of the Year

1- Kevin Garnett- Celtics

2- Shane Battier- Rockets

3- Bruce Bowen- Spurs

KG is back to his MVP style play on both sides of the court. KG is blocking shots like mad and really can change games. Battier played stellar D in that 22 game win streak, and the other portion of the season as well.

I have add numerous TD's and Comments on the MVP so that is another blog or TD another day.

I like what you have done here it is really good the only thing is that for third team forward I would pick somone else besides Antawn Jamison. Ray Allen has done some good things, along with Rashard Lewis.
